Chapter 5047 - Chapter 4101: MU: Super Body Major Event (144)

Night Owl was genuinely taken aback. He rolled awkwardly away just in time to dodge the heat beams. But those two heat beams carved a deep trench in the ground. Good heavens, that's even more ruthless than Super霸. Whose subordinate are you?

"Batman." Injustice Superman shouted to Injustice Batman, "Follow me."

Injustice Superman stood up and walked towards him.

They both left the meeting room like that. It was clear to see, Batman dared to speak but didn't want to, Superman wanted to speak but dared not. In short, everyone collectively remained silent, making the atmosphere within the meeting room eerily strange.

"Aren't you going to say something?" Night Owl asked, "That Batman is under Evil Superman's control, right? As his counterpart, why don't you rescue him? Is this the justice you always preach about?"

"He volunteered." Primary Universe Batman said.

"Are you kidding?" Night Owl said dismissively, "Which Batman would voluntarily be controlled by Superman? Would you?"

"If Clark in my universe dared to tax the rich at 96%, I would as well." Primary Universe Batman said.

"Uh..." Night Owl was taken aback, as if he had just realized what he heard. He raised his voice and said, "96% tax, why doesn't he just rob them?!"

Then he realized: maybe others can't, but Superman really could do it. After all, with the Man of Steel physique, he wouldn't fear assassination. But this guy actually ended up ruling Earth and still goes about robbing the rich to give to the poor? And even targets Batman?

"Even so, you can't just stand idly by. What about the humanitarianism you always talk about? Even if he's willing, this method is still unacceptable, isn't it?"

"You're not Batman, so don't jump to conclusions." Big Adventure Batman said, "Precisely because he's our counterpart, we understand. Maybe if we rescue him, he'd resent us. We're not going to engage in such thankless tasks."

Night Owl was truly speechless: Do you even listen to what you're saying? Someone willingly controlled by mind control, and a group thinks he truly volunteered. Even I, a madman, think you're all crazy.

Night Owl couldn't accept this kind of twisted relationship. He only wanted to use this point to attack Batman, not really aiming to rescue anyone. After receiving a collective negative response from the Batmans, he didn't press further or make efforts; he just voiced his opinions and moved on.

But there was someone who took it seriously, and that was Injustice Superman standing outside the meeting room. Heaven and earth, there was still someone sensible. He was really fed up with being the villain.

If he was wrong, he could be detained in the Fortress of Solitude. He could even tolerate being confined with the Injustice League's Wonder Woman, instead of having a stern face all day long, listening to people discuss how he mind-controlled Batman, and then when attention shifts away, see them awkwardly remain silent as if nothing happened.

"If you're just doing this to torment me, then you've won." Injustice Superman said to Injustice Batman, "You've used our mutual understanding against me in this way. I will truly hate you for a lifetime."

"Then hate me." Injustice Batman said with a smile, "I'm honored that you're a Superman who truly hates someone."

"Stop saying such ambiguous things, I've truly had enough. So what did you bring me here to do?"

"We need manpower." Injustice Batman said, "Many Supermen died in the last battle. Whoever we can reach out to is being drafted to make up the numbers, and of course, you are one of them."

"If you ever considered even for a moment about my survival, you wouldn't let me be one of them." Injustice Superman sighed deeply and said, "What do you want me to do now? Return to Superman's office and have an exhilarating warm-up match with them, losing face across dimensions?"

"They will tolerate you because they need your strength. More importantly, Batman needs your strength. So, they won't make things difficult for you."

"No, you have to come with me." Injustice Superman gritted his teeth and said.

"That will be seen as flaunting." Injustice Batman raised an eyebrow again and said, "Flaunting your evil victory, flaunting your cold heartlessness, flaunting your irrationality. Be careful not to get thrashed."

"This is your proposed plan, and now you're letting me face it all alone?!" Injustice Superman whispered.

"Of course not, I'm also facing many sympathetic and admiring gazes from the Batmans, aren't I?"

"But they won't beat you up!"

"They will try to study me." Injustice Batman shrugged and said, "I even suspect they might seek Professor X for assistance because of me."

Injustice Superman suddenly became nervous and said, "Can Professor X find out?"

"Even if he can figure it out, why would he help us?"

"Uh, maybe to damage Batman's reputation?"

"But I'm not Batman's leader, I can completely dismiss it as an inconsequential joke. Or, Professor X might just think it's a joke entirely and not mention it at all."

Injustice Superman was full of astonishment. Injustice Batman, however, shook his head and said, "He and his old partner play an even crazier game than this."

"For example?"

"The Primary Universe Batman had us research Magneto's helmet, guess what? The thing is made of plastic."

"What?"

"We conducted a series of material tests and determined it to be pure plastic with no special structure. There are even two teeth marks on the bottom edge, looking like they were bitten by a half-month-old child."

"They have a child half a month old?! Is the Magneto in their universe female, or is it Professor X who's female?"

Injustice Batman couldn't help but roll his eyes and said, "What I mean is, that helmet doesn't have anything special about it, not even basic defense. If a child's baby teeth can leave marks on it, how could it be made of any solid material?"

Injustice Superman didn't seem to have much to say. He said, "Maybe it's just a decorative prop for show, like my helmet."

"But Primary Universe Batman asked us to make a brainwave blocking device based on this helmet," Injustice Batman said. "Obviously, he misunderstood the relationship between the two of them."

"He doesn't know they have a kid?"

"Are you drunk?" Injustice Batman stopped and said, "Did you even listen to me?"

"You said Professor X and Magneto were wild in their younger days. You guys got Magneto's helmet with a child's teeth marks on it. So, do you think Professor X knows they have a kid? Didn't Magneto tell him?"

"You should watch less of those 8 o'clock soap dramas." Injustice Batman finally got a bit irritated and said, "I'm saying this so-called mind-blocking helmet is useless, but Magneto still wears it all the time."

"Maybe it's their keepsake. You haven't even told me which one of them is female."

Injustice Batman covered his forehead. Indeed, the super brain of Injustice Superman was burned out from thinking too fast, and now it just blurts out whatever comes to mind.

"Anyway, Primary Universe Batman has given me an impossible task."

"Come on, that task was meant for me. They all think you're controlled by me. Do you think Primary Universe Batman expects me, a Superman, to develop a mind-blocking device for him? Take it easy, dude, it's not on your plate."

Injustice Batman was speechless. It seems the super brain wasn't completely burned out, as it hit the nail right on the head.

"But you can actually make it," Injustice Batman had to say directly, "There's really brainwave controlling technology on Brainiac's ship, isn't there? You've seen it, you've got the blueprints. If you don't make it, Primary Universe Batman will ask you for it sooner or later. How else would he allow you to come over here?"

"Didn't you say that Superman sacrificed too much and they're understaffed?"

"Then let me go, since you're controlling me anyway."

"You mean he called me over here to actually get the brainwave control device blueprints to counter Professor X? Is that thing really useful?"

"In their view, if it can control Batman, how can it not be useful?"

"But I'm not really controlling you, what if it doesn't work?" Injustice Superman was genuinely confused now.

"You're not the normal Superman, you're an evil Superman who can mind-control Batman. Giving him fake blueprints would be perfectly normal. To prevent you from tricking him, Primary Universe Batman will carefully check the blueprints and confirm their feasibility. Even if it doesn't work in the end, he'll just blame himself for not catching your plot."

"And then call his Superman to beat me up?"

"His Superman is already dead. Why else would I dare to let you come over?"

Now it was Injustice Superman's turn to be speechless.

"Anyway, you give me the blueprints, and when I bring them up during the research process, they'll know it was you who provided them. Primary Universe Batman knowing you have this technology will definitely focus on studying it. If it's useful, it might even improve their impression of you; if it's not, with Superman gone, he can't beat you anyway."

"But his Superman isn't actually dead, wouldn't I still get the beating later?" Injustice Superman sighed, but nodded and said, "Alright, I can only copy the materials for you, but I don't even know if it'll work."

Soon, Injustice Batman took the materials and left, returning to the lab to begin studying that utterly useless helmet with the other Batmen, and during the process leaked the brainwave control technology and blueprints.

Meanwhile, Primary Universe Batman was negotiating with Manhattan Batman. It mainly concerned their base: although it had undergone dimensional cutting, it wasn't entirely safe. After all, the other side had dimensional jump technology. Although they couldn't lock its coordinates for now, there were many capable individuals on the opposite side, any of whom might break through, necessitating further defenses.

"I can add a magical defense network to this planet," Super Body said, "However, this technology itself comes from their mages, so it's likely they can break through it as well."

Just as he said that, Manhattan Batman squinted his eyes and said, "Someone's attempting a dimensional invasion... it seems to be those mages. They have highly advanced spatial breakthrough techniques."

"Their teleportation portal technology is very formidable," Primary Universe Batman said, "Can we withstand it? If not, we might as well let them in for a fight."

"It's no problem, just a bunch of low-dimensional beings." Manhattan Batman was indifferent. He simply reached out with one hand, pinched the void, and Primary Universe Batman saw a sudden flash at his hand which produced a piece of paper out of thin air. Depicted on it were many mages.

This was a very peculiar perspective, like suddenly becoming a high-dimensional being overlooking the low-dimensional beings. The other side couldn't even perceive that he was observing them.

"That's unbelievable," said Primary Universe Batman.

"We can exchange prisoners with them," Manhattan Batman said, "Use the mages to trade back Superman."

"What?"

"Superman. Some of the Supers with strong spiritual power aren't dead, just temporarily trapped. We can use these mages to exchange for them, and let them know we're not to be trifled with. Even if their most powerful Mutant comes over, things could get complicated. This will achieve strategic deterrence, preventing anyone from daring to use nuclear weapons first."
