Chapter 214: Precious Healing Items!
The rest area within the Main God Space was fully equipped with various facilities.
Luke followed the knight to a teahouse, where they settled into a private room and sat facing each other, ready to begin their transaction.
"First, allow me to apologize to you."
"I'm very sorry I couldn't greet you properly earlier."
After sitting down, the knight removed his helmet and apologized to him for his previous behavior.
As he removed the helmet, an unusual sight appeared before Luke's eyes.
When the helmet came off, the full suit of armor the knight had been wearing gradually dissolved into points of light that dispersed into the air.
"This equipment is essentially just a helmet. If I had removed it in the trading area earlier, it would have been equivalent to 'unnecessarily removing armor in public.'"
"If word of such behavior got out, it wouldn't reflect well, and I might even face punishment if it caused any negative effects."
"Moreover, due to the helmet's negative effects, it's difficult for me to speak while wearing it, so I ask for your understanding."
Without his armor, the knight had the appearance of a young man, with short brown hair and simple cloth attire that gave him the impression of a rural youth.
The young knight first expressed his apologies to Luke, then proceeded with his self-introduction.
"My name is Kaia, Kaia Ramul, a knight of the 'Knight Order.'"
The Knight Order in the Main God Space didn't have many distinctions in the internal rank.
There were only four ranks: Knight Commander, Great Knight, Knight, and Apprentice Knight.
Luke only knew this much about the Knight Order, as outsiders rarely knew about their internal affairs, and he wasn't particularly interested either.
"I'm Luke Ashburn, no particular affiliation."
After their mutual introductions, the transaction officially began.
"I've heard about your requirements."
"However, if you don't mind, could you tell me the detailed condition of the injured?"
Kaia had no ulterior motives; he simply wanted to determine what level of healing items would be appropriate based on the injuries.
As a member of the Knight Order, he didn't want people buying items from him that would either be ineffective or wasteful.
Luke didn't hesitate much either, concisely describing the conditions of Alise and the others to Kaia.
This wasn't particularly secretive information, as matters unrelated to the Main God Space wouldn't affect the Agents' interests.
Moreover, when Kaia introduced himself earlier, he had shown his Knight Order badge, certified by the Main God Space.
Being able to confirm that he was truly a member of the Knight Order, Luke saw no need to be overly cautious.
"Lost organs, severed arms, and blindness... Hmm... To be honest, based on your description, this isn't a simple matter."
"Ah, I don't mean I don't have suitable items, but rather that the items needed to heal your friends would be of a relatively high grade."
Hearing Kaia's words, Luke felt slightly confused.
"Are skills and items for limb regeneration really that rare in the Main God Space?"
"I remember there are facilities in the facility area where you can directly restore injuries by consuming exchange points, right?"
Facing Luke's questions, Kaia first nodded to confirm his statement about the facilities, then explained:
"Indeed, the recovery facilities are very convenient, but firstly, they require exchange points, and secondly, they're only available for use by people within the Main God Space."
"For the friends you mentioned, unless you bring them into the Main God Space, that option is definitely not feasible."
After explaining about the facilities, Kaia paused for a moment.
After organizing his thoughts, he continued:
"First, I need to tell you that there's a very big difference between skills and items."
Truthfully, through this brief conversation, Kaia had basically determined that Luke was a newcomer.
Only Agents who hadn't experienced many missions would have such questions.
However, he didn't look down on the boy because of this.
As a B rank fighter himself, Kaia could easily judge the strength of the person sitting before him.
Newcomer, no affiliation, at least B rank strength.
Kaia had been fortunate enough to meet another Agent fitting this profile before.
Not only was it impossible for him as a knight to look down on others, but even if Kaia had wanted to cause trouble for Luke, he would have had to carefully consider the consequences.
"In the Main God Space, physical recovery, super-regeneration, and limb reconstruction skills aren't rare."
"On the contrary, these skills are standard for warrior-type Agents. Most B-rank and above warrior-type powerhouses possess at least one such skill."
"Similarly, healing skills aren't rare either."
"If we were talking about 'skills,' your friends' injuries would actually be easy to resolve."
"After all, 'skills' come from the Main God Space."
"But items are different. You've been to the trading area, you must have seen the shops established there by the Main God Space, right?"
Listening to Kaia's explanation, he nodded thoughtfully.
The Main God Space where Luke currently was had significant differences from what he had imagined.
One such difference was regarding 'items.'
The official items in this Main God Space weren't abundant.
Taking healing items as an example:
The 'official shops' only had healing potions of three grades: low, medium, and high.
Moreover, their healing effects were very limited, basically only able to recover minor injuries, with the grade differences only affecting recovery speed.
They weren't even as effective as the healing potions and elixirs Luke had brought from Orario.
However, in exchange, the Main God Space provided facilities for Agents to restore their condition without limits, as long as they could pay the exchange points, any condition could be restored to peak state.
"Among Agents, very few are willing to specialize in 'healing' abilities."
"Even I, who handles healing duties in our current team, am primarily a combat-type knight by profession."
"Semi-healing professions are rare enough, let alone pure healing professions."
"But it's precisely these few people who can produce high-quality healing items."
"Items brought from mission worlds aren't non-existent, but items capable of limb regeneration and physical recovery are extremely precious in the vast majority of worlds."
"Therefore, compared to 'skills,' healing 'items' are much rarer."
Hearing this, Luke finally understood.
The main issue was that the Main God Space itself didn't produce high-quality healing items, and there were very few Agents who could produce such items.
The reason Kaia was explaining all this to Luke was probably because items of this level would be extremely expensive.
He wanted to prevent Luke from misunderstanding that he was trying to extort him by giving this preemptive explanation.
