'It's not like we are incompetent; it's just that you are too competent, so whatever job we do, no matter how thoughtful we are, will be garbage in your eyes,' Hitomi thought inwardly.
Hitomi wasn't wrong about this since everything Naruto does can be considered perfect even though it isn't, but few manage to reach the level of skills Naruto possesses.
This is also the main reason why the higher-ups always rely on Naruto since the latter maintains the balance of the world despite the fact that his existence itself was the breaker of balance.
Everyone in the Jujutsu Society knows the fact that Naruto and the higher-ups are in conflict with each other.
Few people dared to choose sides between the two parties, and most of the people remained neutral like Hitomi since no one wanted to offend either side.
While the higher-ups might have had the rules and restrictions on their hands, Naruto, on the other hand, had his overwhelming powers that no one could stop.
Offending either party is, in a way, inviting trouble towards themselves, and Hitomi doesn't want trouble.
This is also the reason why she decides to retire from being a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
"Informed others that they can slowly stop working for the next few days," Naruto said before vanishing from the spot. Not even bothering to wait for Hitomi's response.
Hitomi just takes a mental note before slowly making his way towards her home. She knows that her daughter returned today thanks to Naruto, and she was excited to hear about Hinata's experience for her first C-rank mission.
Little did Hitomi know the fact that the C-rank mission that Hinata's team took turned into an A-rank mission, a mission far too dangerous for a genin and a newly promoted one at that, but that's for another time.
Inside the Mission Assignment Office.
Minato leaned his back on his chair, trying to digest the information he just received. Fugaku has already given him his full reports about the mission they take.
'Naruto...'
"...Did Naruto really do all that?" Minato whispers, but Fugaku manages to hear him thanks to the silence in the room.
"Yes," Fugaku slowly nods, and his eyes slowly lock on Minato's.
"Minato, I think you owe me an explanation," Fugaku continues, causing Minato to snap from his thoughts and stare at his friend.
"When you first told me to watch Naruto closely and report back to you, I thought it was because you simply wanted to be kept updated on his progress since you already have Kushina watching over your other three kids. But all I've seen from him and the way you're reacting to me telling you about his strength tells me you didn't know at all what your eldest son's true capabilities are," Fugaku added. Minato frowned and slightly turned his head downwards, staring at the desk.
"At first I thought that his immense ability was due to you and Kushina training him. But after observing him more closely, I'm sure it isn't the case. He moves and strikes differently from the both of you. It was like he was taught by someone instead," Fugaku explains before his eyes turn deadly serious with a tint of concern within them.
"Tell me, Minato, why was Naruto not trained by you and Kushina? How is it that despite this he's likely the best genin in the entire village? And why is it you don't know what your own son is capable of?" Fugaku asks in a serious tone.
Minato didn't respond but instead continued looking at the desk for a few minutes. After a few minutes of dead silence, Minato finally spoke: "Thank you, Fugaku. You can leave now."
Fugaku frowns at this response but still respects his friend and stands up and departs without speaking another word.
Fugaku knows that he will learn everything he desires soon enough.
Outside Naruto's apartment.
The moment Naruto appeared outside of his apartment door, he immediately noticed the sign of someone entering his apartment. The signs were so subtle that if one didn't look closer, they would without a doubt miss them.
'Annoying,' Naruto thought for a moment before opening the door.
Countless possibilities already appeared in his mind of the people who decide to enter his apartment, which is clearly a violation of law.
Naruto, though, knows an exception to the law, but upon seeing the person sitting comfortably on his sofa while reading a porn book, Naruto knows he overthinks a bit.
Kakashi seems to notice Naruto's arrival, so he closes the book he was reading and slowly stands up. Naruto and Kakashi stared for a few moments.
"It's about time you showed up," Kakashi whispers, cutting the silence between them like a hot knife through butter.
"It's been a while, Naruto," Kakashi casually said. "I never even got a chance to congratulate you for becoming a ninja."
"What do you want?" Naruto asks in an indifferent tone.
"I'm here to ask some questions, and I hope you answer them honestly," Kakashi casually responds while trying to be as friendly as he can.
"If I don't?" Naruto slightly tilted his head.
"I keep asking until you answer," Kakashi responds with an eye smile.
"Bold of you," Naruto whispers, but Kakashi felt the temperature in the room dramatically drop.
Before Kakashi could even think of anything, out of nowhere Naruto appeared right in front of him in an instant, widening his eye in the process.
'Fast!'
Kakashi instinctively wanted to create distance between the two of them when he found himself unable to move. No matter how much effort he put in, he was unable to move an inch of his muscles.
"The fact that you dared to break into my apartment despite knowing that it violates the law, and you even had the guts to question me, is truly bold of you," Naruto said, and at the end his voice was so cold that it brought shivers to Kakashi's bone marrow.
"In order for you not to repeat such an offense in the future, I had to punish you," Naruto added.
Before Kakashi could register what Naruto just said, Naruto suddenly punched his guts out of nowhere. The force behind his punch was so strong that Kakashi's internal organs suffered bleeding.
"BWUHF—!"
All the air leaves his lungs. His body folds thanks to the force behind the punch, but still he hasn't moved an inch from his spot despite the force behind the attack.
His ribs were also broken thanks to Naruto's punch piercing his internal organs in the process.
Kakashi's navy mask is tainted in red as blood escapes from his mouth and slowly drops on the floor, tainting it in the process.
Kakashi is unable to believe the power behind the punch. While he had some knowledge about Naruto's strength thanks to the Jonin meeting about the Genin squad, the information he learned wasn't true to begin with.
Naruto was far more powerful than he could even imagine. Kakashi even suspects that Naruto was far stronger than he should have been since the way he launched his punch earlier, it was effortless, as if he didn't put more effort into the punch.
Yet despite such effortless action, Kakashi still suffers internal damage.
What was worse was the fact that Kakashi didn't know what Naruto's next move of action was. He didn't even have a choice of escaping since he was frozen in place.
Performing any jutsu is also out of the question since he suddenly lost control of his chakra.
Pain coursed throughout his body, but Kakashi endured it. This level of pain wasn't the first time he experienced it; in fact, he experienced far worse than this.
Yet he was still unable to comprehend the cruelty behind the person in front of him, especially the cold and indifferent blue eyes of Naruto staring at his eye as if Naruto saw through everything he had.
"This punishment wasn't enough."
Kakashi's eyes widen after hearing Naruto, and before he can even process it, Naruto already begins to take action.
Without hesitation, Naruto breaks Kakashi's two arms in a single action.
"AAARGH!" Kakashi screams at the top of his lungs.
"Quiet"
Naruto quickly uses his index finger and thrusts it towards Kakashi's throat, more specifically his larynx, instantly stopping Kakashi from creating any noise.
Even though Naruto already erected a soundproof barrier throughout his apartment to avoid disturbing other people outside or next door—more accurately, to avoid other people knowing the action he did—he still made Kakashi unable to speak due to the fact that his screams annoyed Naruto.
Naruto wasn't yet satisfied with the punishment he brought to Kakashi. Naruto knows that if he doesn't teach Kakashi a painful lesson, the latter will, without a doubt, repeat the action he did today.
Naruto kicks both of Kakashi's legs, breaking them in the process. Kakashi acts like he is screaming in pain, yet no sound escapes from his mouth, which is something Naruto wanted.
Kakashi is lying on the floor right now, and his eye is staring at Naruto with small hatred within it but at the same time fear. This fear was born due to Naruto's indifferent and unsatisfied eyes, which Kakashi noticed.
Naruto fell down on one knee and stared at Kakashi's eye. In his right hand a sharp kunai appeared, which slightly attracted Kakashi's attention, and countless possibilities flooded his mind.
"Remember this incident for your next action," Naruto said in a low and cold tone that gives chills to anyone who hears it.
