I watched what remained of the freighter float away into the darkness of space as our weapons powered down.
"Alright, we got what we needed so let's go~" I ordered from my Captain's chair.
Our ship's Travel Drives charged up before we were catapulted through space once again, leaving the field of scrap behind.
Only after we no longer could see the battlezone did I relax and allow myself to lean back in my seat.
I was quite concerned that a battleship or something might suddenly pop out into existence beside us and we would be totally and royally screwed.

One moment you could be just cruising through space escorting a freighter smuggling some stuff during a civil war and the next thing you know, you got hit by an interdiction pulse and then your entire convoy gets blasted to bits.
I turned to the side, "So… What do we have inside those boxes? Please tell me we got what we needed?"
