Vasco's story wasn't really that unique. However, the reason they felt that there was more to it was quite obvious: the fog that he used to arrive was simply too huge, and it also felt violent!

Nonetheless, Vasco continued.
"I don't know why I was spared," Vasco continued. "But I know what I can do. I can build ships. Not just small boats, but vessels that can weather storms, carry armies, and cross seas. If this place truly seeks to thrive on the coast, then you'll need me."
Fiona studied him carefully and gently nodded. She guessed that the man was gifted with some high-level talent or skills that could probably shock her.
She could ask about it later on…
