[Boom!]
Just as the summoned beasts were wreaking havoc among the shinobi forces, an explosion of orange flames engulfed them.
Scorch Release—Pakura!
"Don't get too cocky!" Pakura scoffed. "Watch as I burn you all to ashes!"
Nagato remained indifferent, calmly raising his hand and aiming at both Pakura and the summons.
"Pakura, move!" Funan's sharp warning rang out.
Pakura immediately leaped backward.
"Shinra Tensei!"
[BOOM!!]
A massive repulsive force erupted from Nagato's hand, slamming between Pakura and the summoned beasts.
Pakura was sent flying.
Even the massive summons were knocked off their feet, rolling and tumbling across the battlefield.
The surrounding shinobi were completely wiped out.
Even the White Zetsu were flung away like rag dolls.
Funan's expression darkened.
The power gap was immense.
Nagato, in this state, was even stronger than when he was alive.
With unlimited chakra, he didn't need to hold back. He could unleash any jutsu without hesitation.
The only way to stop him was to send in the strongest fighters and seal him away.
Funan's gaze shifted toward Itachi.
Itachi gave a subtle nod and charged toward Nagato at full speed.
"Ugh…" Pakura struggled to her feet. The impact had left her disoriented. She staggered, nearly collapsing.
Funan appeared in front of her just in time, catching her in his arms.
Recognizing the familiar scent, Pakura didn't even need to open her eyes to know who it was. She gave a helpless smile. "He's really strong…"
"That impressed you?" Funan scoffed. "I'm stronger than both Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama."
Pakura looked dazed for a moment before sighing. "To people like you… what are we, really? Damn it, if you're all so powerful, why are we even fighting this war? Shouldn't you just settle it in a one-on-one duel?"
"Good question." Funan shrugged. "I'd like to know the answer myself. Unfortunately, I can't exactly have a heart-to-heart with my enemies. I have no idea what's going through their heads."
"Forget it." Pakura pushed herself away from Funan's arms and steadied herself. "Tell me what to do next. Should I assist the others in taking him down?"
Funan thought for a moment. "Focus on dealing with Nagato's summons. As for Nagato himself, we have others to handle him."
"Got it."
A deep hum resonated across the battlefield.
Itachi was rapidly closing in on Nagato, his Susanoo beginning to form.
Nagato's cold eyes locked onto him as he slowly spread his arms wide.
Itachi's heart tensed. "Is he seriously using that move again?"
"Shinra Tensei!"
Nagato's voice rang out like a death sentence.
A massive repulsive force surged forward like an invisible cannon blast, heading straight for Itachi.
"Damn it!"
Susanoo provided immense offensive and defensive power—but at the cost of speed.
Most of the time, that wasn't an issue, as its defense was nearly impenetrable.
But…
As the shockwave struck Susanoo, it first tore off the armor, then peeled away the flesh, and finally shattered the skeletal frame.
It was as if Susanoo was being dismantled in reverse order.
Itachi was sent flying, slamming hard into the ground.
"Hahaha!" Orochimaru burst into laughter at the sight.
Powerful.
Unbelievably powerful!
This was what a true shinobi should be.
Nagato, perched atop the Drill-Beaked Bird, soared high into the sky before diving down, crashing into the ground with immense force.
By pure coincidence, he landed directly on top of two shinobi clones, shattering them on impact.
Then, slowly, he rose to his feet.
Edo Tensei… fears no death.
He extended his arms once more.
"Shinra Tensei!"
This time, the technique radiated outward from him, spreading in all directions.
Every clone caught within the force instantly dissipated.
With a single move, he wiped out tens of thousands of clones.
"Brilliant!" Orochimaru couldn't help but applaud.
Even Obito seemed somewhat relieved.
Although he and his Six Paths were strong, he was always wary of unforeseen strategies from the enemy—especially Funan, who should never be underestimated.
"This move again and again… but against clones, it's the most effective."
Funan sighed and waved his hand vigorously.
Several figures arrived before Nagato.
Nagato's expression was stiff as he slowly extended his hand.
A black sphere materialized in midair.
"Hehehe!" Orochimaru chuckled smugly. "Konoha has plenty of skilled fighters. Let's turn them all into stars!"
The black sphere rose into the sky, its gravitational pull intensifying as it expanded.
"Aim for the center of the sphere," Uchiha Funan said coolly.
"I can't get a clear shot!" Yako frowned. "That pull is too strong—we can't aim properly."
"That doesn't make sense," Funan said, his tone indifferent. "With that much gravitational force, you don't even need to be precise. Just aim in the general direction, and the attack will be pulled in."
"Good point!" Yako and the others' eyes lit up.
By now, more than ten elite fighters had surrounded Nagato—Yako, Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Shisui, Komehi, Tetsuhi, Mei…
Together, they were overwhelmingly powerful. Even against Nagato, they shattered the sphere, forcing him to retreat.
Yet he evaded the sealing techniques just in time.
Nagato pressed his hands to the ground, summoning a chameleon with the ability to blend into its surroundings.
He climbed into the creature's mouth and vanished from sight.
The moment he disappeared, his previously summoned beasts went berserk, launching relentless attacks.
"Don't waste your strength on them! These monsters were specially bred. Cut off one head, and another grows in its place. Focus your efforts elsewhere!"
"Then what should we—"
"I've brought you a helper."
Funan turned to the side.
A white-haired man stood there, coldly observing the battlefield.
Senju Tobirama, the Second Hokage!
"Let's move!" Funan ordered. "No time to waste."
[Swish!]
As soon as Funan spoke, Tobirama sprang into action.
Using the Flying Thunder God Technique, he teleported in front of one of the summoned beasts, gripping it firmly.
"Let's go. I'll take you somewhere nice."
[Swish!]
The beast and Tobirama vanished.
A heartbeat later, Tobirama reappeared.
Funan approached him, curious. "Where did you send it? I don't want Nagato summoning it back."
Tobirama's tone was indifferent. "A volcano. It's probably turned to ash. Of course, there's also a chance Nagato just dispelled the summoning."
"..."
"Keep going."
"Got it." Tobirama teleported again, targeting another beast.
[Swish!]
Just then, a figure appeared out of nowhere, grabbing Tobirama by the throat and lifting him off the ground.
"What speed!" Hashirama's eyes widened in shock.
"Human Path!" Nagato's voice was cold and decisive.
[Swish!]
Before he could act, Tobirama activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, vanishing from Nagato's grasp.
"Huh?"
Even Nagato hesitated for a moment.
Obito, watching from a distance, frowned at Orochimaru. "He's too stiff. No mobility."
"Obviously," Orochimaru sneered. "If he had full consciousness, he'd be more agile. But are you sure he wouldn't betray us?"
Obito's expression darkened. He said nothing.
"Let's see how long you can hold out against the infinite chakra and the Rinnegan. "Orochimaru smirked, forming hand seals.
He wasn't afraid of Funan and the others.
Nagato's body twisted as if switches had been flipped. Missile compartments opened across his form.
"Asura Path!"
[Boom!]
A barrage of explosives rained down, reducing the battlefield to chaos. One by one, shinobi were obliterated.
Even Yako and the others had to constantly dodge the relentless assault.
Another black sphere was launched into the sky.
"Chibaku Tensei!"
An even stronger gravitational force erupted.
The Konoha elites struggled to keep their footing.
Seeing this, Obito finally exhaled in relief. After so many battles where they had been at a disadvantage, he was finally seeing a glimmer of victory.
"Orochimaru, it's time we joined in." Obito formed hand seals. "We can't just stand by and watch."
"Go ahead," Orochimaru said calmly. "I need to stay here to command Nagato and the other Edo Tensei shinobi. If something happens to me, who will control them?"
"Hmph!" Obito snorted.
He wasn't fooled. He knew that this Orochimaru was just a clone. The real one was hiding elsewhere, far from danger.
Still, Nagato was the priority right now.
Obito turned to Hiruko. "Are you getting involved?"
"I have my own matters to attend to. Don't mind me." Hiruko refused without hesitation.
Jumping into this battlefield now?
That was just asking to die.
Did Obito not see how many monsters were out there?
One mistake, and you're dead.
"Hmph!" Obito sneered. "Fine, then just sit back and watch. Witness my strength and see how I deal with them!"
Orochimaru glanced at him and said dryly, "Should I undo the Edo Tensei on Nagato and Uchiha Madara for you? Wouldn't you want them interfering with your performance."
Obito: "…"
