The others had already rebelled. Unless he were resurrected, his skeletal remains posed no real threat, let alone his golden body.
Zhang Lin's intention was to use Wang Linchi's righteousness to alleviate external pressure, buying enough time for internal adjustments. However, Emperor Jing had completely missed this point. Even if he hadn't, it wouldn't have mattered, as he had no idea how to proceed.
