Although the wolf plague launched by Helsun primarily targets Murphy and his followers, it is absolutely impossible to expect the wolf pack to compromise while the Wolf People hunt Star Realm Wolves to replenish their fresh meat supplies.
There wasn't enough food near Wasteland Mountain at all, so part of the wolf pack, led by the wounded Wolf Disaster Lord Juper, pushed towards the Blackflame Mountain Pass, where they joined with the unfortunate Lord Wason, who had his head chopped off, but the rest were commanded by Lord Baux to launch one vicious ambush after another on the Wolf People's ground forces.
This was revenge for the Wolf People hunting Star Realm Wolves to fill their bellies.
