Chapter 743 - Chapter 743: Invasion

Nolan's released spiritual sense swiftly enveloped the entire space station, then continued spreading outward. Before long, he located the Antimatter Legion mentioned in the broadcast.

This invading force consisted of more than a dozen warships. Their vessels were silver-white in color, appearing at first glance to be highly advanced technological constructs.

But upon closer inspection, that wasn't quite the case.

Though covered in steel-like silver armor, the ships resembled enormous living organisms clad in metallic plating.

If nothing unexpected had occurred, these warships were likely modified biological entities.

According to information publicly available on the Interastral Peace Network, the Antimatter Legion possessed something known as the "War Forge."

Using negative particles, it could reconstruct the bodies of fallen warriors who had not completely perished, granting them the power of "Destruction" and transforming them into the Legion's basic combat units — Voidrangers.

However, this process stripped them of their sanity. They could no longer be called "he," "she," or "they," but instead became "it."

In essence, there was little difference between that and dying and turning into a monster. Presumably, these warships of the Antimatter Legion were created in a similar manner.

Aside from the dozen or so warships, Nolan also detected several massive creatures capable of flying directly through space.

They were likely the Legion's infamous Doomsday Beasts, rumored to each possess the power to annihilate a planet.

Activating Layla's affection skill, "Blessing of the Starry Sky," Nolan instantly saw the situation within a two-hundred-kilometer radius unfold before him as a star map.

The invading Antimatter Legion forces were displayed clearly. After linking it with Fischl's and Yae Miko's affection skills, their information was also revealed:

[Level: 125]

[Antimatter Warship: A warship of the universal calamity known as the Antimatter Legion. Powered by "negative particles," it possesses interstellar warp capability and can transport large numbers of Voidrangers. At full power, its weaponry can easily devastate a planet's surface.]

First came the data on the Antimatter Legion warships. Though their level didn't appear particularly high, their weapon systems truly possessed the power to destroy planetary surfaces.

They were hardly inferior to planet-killing battleships.

[Level: 135]

[Doomsday Beast: Forged by the universal calamity "Antimatter Legion" using fragments of ancient twilight beasts and fueled by the resentment of countless bones, driven by a dark matter engine. A weapon of despair that brings apocalypse to worlds — the Legion's core war machine.]

Looking at the information, Nolan couldn't help but inwardly marvel. As expected of something bearing the name "Doomsday," it was far more formidable than the Giant True Stinger he had encountered before.

Faced with the Antimatter Legion, the space station responded swiftly. Energy shields deployed at once, and warships were launched to intercept.

Equally rapid was the planetary defense system of Blue Star. Orbital satellite weapons, operating alongside the station in space, immediately launched a counterattack.

The defense satellites fired blazing white high-energy lasers. From a distance of over two hundred kilometers, traveling at light speed, they struck their targets in less than 0.001 seconds.

However, the Antimatter Legion's warships were also protected by energy shields. The high-energy lasers that would normally tear through armor were effortlessly blocked.

When the beams struck the invisible shields, it was like skipping stones across water — ripples formed briefly before the attacks bounced away.

Although Blue Star's planetary defense system failed to inflict damage on the Legion's ships, it did successfully slow their advance.

At that moment, Nolan sensed spatial distortions appearing at multiple points within the station. Dense waves of unfamiliar presences suddenly emerged.

On the star map before him, numerous small red dots appeared within a radius of several kilometers.

[Level: 92]

[Voidranger · Trampler]

[Level: 76]

[Voidranger · Reaver]

[Level: 81]

[Voidranger · Eliminator]

Though such a large number of Voidrangers had suddenly invaded, this was, after all, Herta Space Station — a renowned galactic sanctuary of research. Its external defenses were formidable, and its internal defenses were equally strong.

On the star map, numerous small green dots surged toward the red ones. As expected, they were likely members of the station's Security Department moving to intercept.

However, many people in the various compartments had yet to fully evacuate. Even with a timely response, casualties were highly likely.

Taking this into consideration, Nolan directly locked onto the invading Voidrangers inside the station with his spiritual sense. With a slight exertion of force, he crushed them all instantly.

[Defeated Powerful Enemies ×1063. Obtained 9,562,125 Adventure EXP.]

His status panel popped up with the long-unseen notification of defeating powerful enemies, granting him over nine million Adventure EXP.

Soon, more red dots appeared on the star map — another batch of Voidrangers had clearly arrived. The corner of Nolan's lips curved upward. They were practically rushing over to deliver Adventure EXP to him.

With a mere thought — snap — another wave of invading Voidrangers was annihilated, earning him nearly ten million more Adventure EXP.

The personnel from the Security Department rushing to various locations, though unaware of what exactly had happened, quickly realized that a powerful ally was assisting them. They immediately focused on helping others evacuate.

"Welt, March 7th — Miss Asta has requested our help escorting nearby personnel to the Master Control Zone for shelter."

Himeko and Dan Heng stepped out from the train and relayed the message.

"Ah, is it that serious? Why would the Antimatter Legion suddenly invade the space station?" March 7th asked in shock.

"We're not sure yet, but the situation is urgent. We need to act immediately," Himeko replied with a shake of her head.

"It seems our journey to the next destination will have to be postponed," Welt said, adjusting his black-rimmed glasses as he looked at Nolan.

"Mm."

Just as Nolan responded, the phone in his pocket rang.

Taking it out, he saw that it was Asta calling. He answered, "Miss Asta?"

"It's me, Mr. Nolan. Several Doomsday Beasts outside the station are rapidly approaching. They're too agile — the defense systems and warships can't keep up. Please intercept them."

Asta's voice sounded urgent.

Although the station's defense system was strong enough to handle an Antimatter Legion force of this scale, if the Doomsday Beasts managed to get close, even if they were repelled, the station would require extensive repairs.

Money wasn't the issue — the real concern was the possibility of casualties during a Doomsday Beast assault.

"No problem. I've already been keeping an eye on those Doomsday Beasts."

Nolan nodded. Within his spiritual perception, the Doomsday Beasts were nimbly evading various attacks, rapidly flying toward the station.

"Mm. I'm counting on you!" Asta said before hanging up. At a time like this, the station's chief would hardly have it easy.

Nolan closed the spatial rift he had opened and turned to Himeko and the others.

"Everyone, as the station's security consultant, I need to get to work. Our trip to Teyvat will have to wait."

"Alright. Stay safe," Himeko replied.

Immediately afterward, everyone sprang into action.
