The Arhats, sensing the drastic consumption, immediately took their hands back.
Their faces were pale, and their breath was ragged.
"Arhats, take a moment to recover." Abbot Liang shot them a grateful look. "You have already done more than enough."
Arhats bowed before moving back and popping recovery pills in their mouths.
While they were recovering, the lotus had started to bloom. More than ten petals were drawn back, and an object could be seen glowing underneath the petals.
The glow was green with hints of red.
Everyone just watched the lotus, one by one unfolding the petals, unfurling the secret lay hidden inside.
