A deafening trumpet blast shook the arena as the massive gates groaned open. First emerged Sir Penny of Redwood - a wiry noble with close-cropped black hair and piercing amber eyes that scanned the crowd like a hawk. He wore reinforced leather armor dyed deep crimson, cracking his knuckles with predatory anticipation as dark energy flickered around his gauntlets.
The crowd's murmurs died instantly when Prince Arthur appeared in the opposite archway. Sunlight glinted off his silver-and-blue royal combat robes, the cape bearing the crest billowing behind him.
