After hanging up, Director Wang's eyes were bloodshot. "Su Li," he said, "what's the situation with the investor behind Lu Yaqing's web series?"
Su Li was startled for a moment. "What situation?"
"I remember the gossip going around the company about Lu Yaqing, saying she and that investor were in a romantic relationship?" Director Wang asked.
"They're probably not boyfriend and girlfriend," Su Li analyzed, "but perhaps they're lovers?"
"Check the company's documents. See if we can find their contact information." Director Wang was an old hand at this, well aware that to solve a problem, one often has to go directly to the source.
