High above the city of Telgry hovered a foriegn ship of massive proportions, large enough to blot out the sun that shined on the lovely city below just moments before. Atop that very ship stood two people, both of which were very well known by the public. One was the head of Galactic Communications Organization or G.C.O., Mac L. Morgan, while the other was the man who carried the tittle of the strongest hero, Rexsin Kelford.
Aside from those two there was also a strange creature that had been awaiting their arrival to greet them. Eyes of solid black and blue rubbery skin accompanied by large needles that sprouted along the spine and floppy ears, the image was burned into the two's mind. How ugly, they thought. It wouldn't be so bad if the creature's head wasn't far too large for the rest of its body or maybe it was the way its face seemed to be contorting in a weird indiscernible expression.
"Leaders of this world, I extend my greetings to you on behalf of my master, Decuun, the king of the Marcilĕj. Please follow me, I will show you to the master at once. There is much to discuss." Spoke the strange creature that wasn't of their Earth. It was clear the being was using an advanced translation system to communicate as the words coming out of said mouth could be understood but was of no tounge used by the humans of this world. It just wasn't any device that they currently knew of.
The communication devices used by the alliance were bulky and could be seen at a glance wrapping around the neck or ear of the wearers. There were even permanent implants but those only worked oneway. This was not the case for this guy, it goes without saying that they had a more advanced understanding of technology then they did.
Neither of the two humans could be considered leaders in the world, although they were certainly prominent figures within it. The two found it strange but more so they found these alien's actions to be quite threatening.
It would seem they had researched their names and faces as well as their positions in society. As the head of GCO, Mac naturally knew the correct protocol for reaching out to other worlds and their respective species as a whole but this bunch had not contacted them at all and had even arrived on what looked to be a large warship in his profesional opinion. Of course as this species was unknown to the human race as of now then he couldn't be sure that was the ships intended purpose, nor could he go about accusing the other party of having such intentions. There were multiple scenarios that would make their actions a plausible course to take. He would have to talk to their leader to get any answers even if he found it all extremely suspicious, it was still his job to give them the benefit of the doubt. "Then lead the way." He said bowing ever so slightly to show respect even of the action may be lost on the unknown species.
Mac found comfort in having Rex at his side but the Hero was unusually quiet as they followed behind the alien, 'Just what was he thinking about with such a dark expression on his face? He couldn't possibly be afraid of these visitor, could he?' Mac had been working with Rex off and on for the past few years after becoming the Head of affairs at GCO but he had never once seen the Hero look so upset. Mac could only surmise that it was the flashing images of their three faces previously displayed by the ship that was getting under his skin. Those two did have bad blood between them after all. He hoped that was the only reason.
Guided to a small platform the two stepped forward to stand on it with their escort, as they did so a flash of light enveloped them and they seemed to be transported to a different location all together.
"That technology is quite advanced isn't it? I can't believe you would have something like that yet not have the means to announce your arrival or ask permission to enter beforehand. Am I wrong?" Mac was pissed to say the least but more so he was antsy thinking about these creatures intentions. But they had made a grave miscalculation if they thought they could... What was that? That surly didn't make since, right? He scratched his head as he tried to process what he thought he was seeing. The head of affairs wasn't the only one to notice the strangeness in front of everyone's eyes.
"What the hell are you doing?" The hero's deep voice reverberated throughout the room sounding quite intimidating but unfortunately the one it was aimed towards appeared completely unfazed by it.
"Oh, it's you." The dark eyes only spared the figures at his back a moments glance before returning their attention back to the object in his hands. "Here," he said, offering the people to his back a drink of the suspicious liquid by sliding it across the platform infront of him. "Have a drink with us. I don't know what they are but they beat anything we've got down there." Levi took a sip from a particular looking glass as he pointed downwards. Mac couldn't say he was surprised by the Villains presence but he was taken aback by his particular character. He looked more approachable and friendly in person, but that didn't stop the palpitations caused by fear at seening the figure infront of him. Well he didn't look anything like he was about to murder a thousand people on a whim. An act maybe? He couldn't tell as this was only his first time meeting this big figure in the flesh but he still had a healthy sense of fear of him despite the reassurance of having Mr. Kelford at his side.
"Ahhhhhh, I'm glad you like it, there's plenty more just say the word!" The Alien who was obviously the leader here, judging from the way he was dressed and the way the other guards in the room watched him, was looking a bit giddy at the Villain's complement. Both the Head of affairs as well as the Hero couldn't begin to fathom what was going on or why the most feared being on their planet was being fawned over by some random invading aliens. Was this some sort of set up planned out by the notorious Dark God? It wouldn't surprise Mac, or anyone for that matter.
"Ahh-humm." Mac cleared his throat in an attempt to gain the alien's attention but it didn't seem to work at all.
"Rex, who...o.. is th-at?" Levi pointed to the head of affairs in a questioning way while trying to keep the liquid from pouring out of his mouth because he refused to swallow before speaking.
Mac felt a huge blow to his ego. Who didn't know his face?!? He was pretty famous and appeared in the news quite frequently. Did this evil thing live under a rock?
Rex on the other hand completely ignored the question, throwing out one of his own in return. "Mr. Decuűn I presume?" The man glanced at the fumbling alien in annoyance. That was the name they had received from the only other alien they spoke to before arriving.
"Just what are your intentions? We have indulged in your absurdities by not immediately attacking your vessel and furthermore by being willing to talk things out first to give you and yours the benefit of the doubt. I hope you can understand our good will in this matter." Prehapps Rex would have been or was even planning on being more corrigiable but was instead giving that alien a hard glare to the point that even his alien subordinates standing to the side were looking sorry for him. Poor guy.
Levi's expression changed from happy go lucky to slightly annoyed. "Don't be such a dick." He chastised as he downed the rest of his drink before standing up and moving towards the disrespecting hero.
Rex sighed, "Lev don't be stupid just because they seem polite and gave you nice things. They are clearly hostile towards us and currently holding the whole city below us hostage. Do you really think they deserve our respect?" The Hero sounded exasperated as if he was fed up with the Villain's shit.
The head of affairs was alittle baffled at the exchange of the Hero and Villain, if not a little scared, as it seemed as if they were a bit too familiar with each other and instead of mortal enemies. Mac quickly butted in before Rex said something to start a war with these aliens. It was his job to keep the peace and find out what exactly they wanted. "Let's all calm down. Now, Mr. Decuun," Mac turned his eyes on the man who was presumably in charge of this whole orchestration. "What do you want from us and what do you mean to do here?"
The invader seemed to rip his gaze away from the man named Levi long enough to answer the weak human in front of him. "I have a serious matter to discuss, one that involves the entirety of this galaxy and possibly others in the future."
"What sort of matter?" Mac was on high alert after hearing the severity of the matter assuming the words he was hearing were not false.
"An infestation." The alien deadpanned as if it was of no concern to him, despite his words display of urgency.
"What kind?" Mac push for more information.
"Creatures we have classified as Hurkïns, a savage species that can travel freely in the vacuum and devour planets rendering them into uninhabitable and dead stars. Of course, they kill any living creatures that previously inhabited said planets. They spread quite fast...." The words trailed off as the eyes of the blue alien followed the dark human around the room as he sifted through the foreign objects strawn about the room, for decoration?
Mac really didn't care for this poor excuse of a diplomat's attitudetowards the supposedly dangerous situation. "If that's true then this is very serious but why are you here with this news instead of alerting the other stronger races, furthermore what do you expect us to do with this news? We are not a fighting race in the end, that is why we are in an alliance in the first place. This should be known even to you who are not affiliated with the alliance yourself." The Head of Affair's voice seemed to be getting calmer and calmer which was definitely not a good sign it was a conundrum indeed.
"We have found the Hurkïns to be rather strong, they have already taken over our own planet despite our superior strength as a species. We on this ship are the only survivors and we are currently in a dire situation with nowhere to go. I had hoped you, as an inferior species, would relinquish your ownership of this planet and live under us Gesšes." The alien didn't even blink as he spoke out his ridiculous request, no, they were demands. "We do not plan to fight with the Hurkïns again and only need a place to live. By our calculations it will be many years before they can reach this distant planet and by that time we will have already found a solution to the problem."
"That's quite the request you've got there. What will you do if we refuse to give you our planet?" Mac who seemed like an ordinary old man appeared so indifferent about the alien's crazy demands. Levi, who was watching the scene in interest, felt a bit of admiration for the man. He was kind of badass, a shocker really, when considering the conduct of the other higher ups in similar positions. This was a mysterious visitor with superior technology and weaponry who knew what the one ship was capable of?
Blinking those enormousblack eyes the blue leader said, "Why would you refuse such an opportunity to live under such superior beings? We will be strict but, I assure you, fair masters. It's not like we are asking you to leave your planet, just to hand its ownership over to us. The human race would benefit greatly from this." The alien looked to the old man only to find an eerie silence. When he realized the old human wasn't going to back down he could only answer honestly, "If you refuse to hand this planet over to me then we will be forced to cull your species and take it by force. I assure you this vessel we are in is more than enough to do so."
"Mr. Decuun, we as a peace loving race of the alliance would gladly welcome you to our planet and provide you and your people a safe haven but I cannot give you our planet nor would we agree to having you as masters," once he finished his polite sounding words he then continued to scoff, "that's just ridiculous. " The old man humphed as the alien's face went purple, an ugly expression emerging, but the old man wasn't done yet. "If you do decide to attack us and manage to win somehow then how exactly are you planning on dealing with those we are allied with? I'm just curious." Asked the old man.
Yep, Levi decided, that was one ticked off purple guy. There might have been steam coming off his body.
"To be questioned and have our abilities doubted by such an inferior species is humiliating. Human know your place!" He ground his teeth in anger trying to regain some semblance of composure.
"If you refuse to hand over this planet then prepare yourself." The alien turned away from the Head of Affairs in anger but as he did his eyes locked on Levi who had at some point sat back down to eat whatever was on the plate in front of him while watching the drama unfold. It was high quality entertainment that should be enjoyed with snacks, but why was that purple guy suddenly looking at him. He hadn't said anything, had he? He didn't recall.
"Levi you don't have to fear what's to come. Undoubtedly you will remain here under my care. I couldn't possibly kill someone like you." What was this purple guy suddenly spouting? Wasn't he just threatening them? Levi suddenly got the hibbijibbies tingle down his spine.
Levi's mouth went agape spilling out his half chewed food before he could regain control of his muscles. "Why?" He couldn't help but ask in a shocked manner. He couldn't say he wasn't curious, he was. Unfortunately the alien just turned away. Levi wasn't the only shocked one, the old man and annoying hero were also rather surprised.
"Lev what did you do before we got here?" Demanded Rex.
"Are you in league with these aliens? Even if you are a notorious villain it's still your duty as an inhabitant of this planet to warn us of such dangers before it comes to something like this." The old man didn't seem as calm anymore, infact he was raging, all the while Levi had already stopped his gaping and gone back to stuffing his face full of foreign delicacies. He would never be able to eat these again, how tragic.
"Calm down." Levi swallowed something a little too big and started coughing. After beating his chest for a bit it finally went down and he was able to finish his words. "I met this weirdo five minutes before you guys."
"It's odd that he went from a nice guy deserving of respect to a weirdo." To the Head of Affair's amazement the stongest Hero who was always serious cracked a smile.
"Well that was before he said he wanted to steal our planet and kill off the human race. Plus he's giving me the creeps with that damn eye oogling of his." Another shiver ran through his body as he glanced at the thing in question. It really couldn't be considered an intellectual being anymore. Too bad, they had nice food and drinks. Still Levi wasn't against making the first move.
"Sigh, it was really good food, anyway Rex you should get off the ground now." Levi wasn't going to wait for them to fire their alien weapons on his city. His house was down there!
"Levi, no. Don't, this is not your problem so stay out of it!" Rex shouted angrily in an upset tone.
"Ppfft! Not my problem? I live down there, or did you forget? I don't care if a few million people die in your poor attempt to take over this ship but in doing so my home and all of my belongings will undoubtedly be obliterated." Now it was Levi who was fuming. He pointed out the window. "Take a good look at those big ass weapons. You would rather sacrifice so many people for some research materials?" He turned away from the annoying hero and said, "Now get off the ground."
"Kill those two, now." Decuun ordered his underlings by waving his hand towards the hero and Head of Affairs who were standing close together.
Mac hadn't even heard the psychotic alien's kill order because he was to busy being surprised by Rex who had suddenly grabbed hold of him and was hovering a foot above the ground. It wasn't the fact that he was flying as they had flown to get up to the ship to begin with but instead it was the fact that the almighty Rex had obeyed that villainous bastard. What a revelation! Why had he listened to him?
Mac didn't even have the time to wrap his mind around any of it as the blue sky was somehow instantaneously before his eyes. He could see nothing else in the sky aside from a falling man that looked vaguely familiar as he fell through the air in an almost serine fashion, like he wasn't plummeting to an untimely death, but then again maybe he wasn't?
Mac had heard the various rumors swimming around out there and had seen many videos during his short time as the Head of Affairs. He had control over many jurisdictions as well as ample sources of information that the general public wasn't privy to, but even Mac who had seen so many unbelievable things couldn't believe all the things that were claimed about the man dubbed Dark God. It was just too much! If he ever found out those things were actually true he would never sleep peacefully again, yet one of those truths had just revealed itself before him while another was about to be proven false or fiction in a matter of seconds. Oh, how he wished he had never gotten out of bed this morning.
A string of hysterical laughter reached the old man's ears from down below as he watched the falling man descend faster and faster. Mac saw the man hit the ground and was aghast at the gruesome sight of the man's body splattering into a pile of mush consisting of bones, blood, and pulverized meat.
Many panicked as they were coated with blood and gore but even more people were left to gape at the empty space where the foreign spacecraft had been only a second ago. It had dissapeared before their very eyes so suddenly. Just where had it gone?
Unfortunately for those who had the pleasure of watching Levi splatter all over the sidewalk they also had the privilege to witness him stand back up only moments later, well they could guess what had happened to the massive ship that had been hovering in the sky before. There were few people who didn't know of Dark God Levi and what his powers could accomplish even if they didn't know to what extent, but wasn't this too much? Too terrifying?
Shouts rang out. Some scurried away while others drew nearer to the action. Enforcers on scene broke into action to keep the onlookers at a safe distance from the fallen body that was suspiciously moving.
Just as Levi had managed to pull his still healing body off the sidewalk he heard a loud boom to his right. Glancing over he only saw a fist before his head exploded on his body and his body went limp once more. Rex didn't let up though just because he was missing a head and continued to rain down blows on his body over and over. People screamed and ran from the brutally familiar scene in front of them.
That's right. This was not the first time Rex had gone on a rampage against Levi, it's just that the videos that were circulating the web were all supposed to be fakes. Now it was happening right in front of their eyes and they couldn't look away as their idol brutally pulverized the most hated man of all time into nothing more than a pile of meat. All it did in the end was dirty the surroundings and traumatize the onlookers.
"Mr. Keford! Stop this right now!" Mac who had been dropped off before the hero burst into action was stunned! Stunned that the hero admired by so many had such a scary side, but what was scarier still was the fact that, that villain was getting back up and laughing as if it hadn't hurt in the slightest. Maybe it hadn't. That was the only notion that the onlookers could think of when seeing the bloodied mans smiling face.
"Lighten up Rex, it's not like I just saved every life in this city or anything like that, you know." He continued to laugh without pause. Grabbing his belly as he doubled over.
"You don't know that jackass. Did u even consider the lives of the aliens on that ship that you took?" Levi was used to Rex being angry because they never saw eye to eye on things but he was really angry this time. What an annoyance, he sighed as his laughter subsided.
Levi didn't feel like appeasing this brat, if he really hadn't thought that Levi's way was the only way he wouldn't have suspended himself in air. He knew Levi wouldn't risk his life."What's more important the lives of our fellow humans or those louts who invaded to steal our planet and kill off our whole species, oh except for me for some reason if I remember correctly. What a creep that purple guy was in the end." Rex really called it on that one, not that Levi would ever admit it to the arrogant hero's face. "You should be thanking me not hitting me, ungrateful brat."
