Chapter 176 - Onslaught 3

Jean continued telling the history of Vulcan. The Fantastic Four and Peter Parker were shocked by hearing about Vulcan.

"In the aftermath of the Imperial Guard's assault on the Kree, Hala was left in chaos. And a war started between the Inhumans, Kree and Shi'ar."

"The Inhuman Royal Family took action, preparing eco-weapons for a counter-offensive."

"The Kree, devastated by the attack, launched sentries with the power of Black Bolt to retaliate."

"While they also counter-attack the Shi'ar warships. The Starjammers and Inhuman Elite successfully infiltrated a Shi'ar ship, extracting crucial information about Lilandra's location from the datasphere."

Fantastic Four and Spider-Man hear every detail carefully.

"Meanwhile, upon learning of the counter-attack or Kree and Inhumans. Vulcan became angry, he vowed to exterminate the Inhumans, the Kree, and their allies, starting with Lilandra."

"With Gladiator now siding with Lilandra instead of Vulcan, the Shi'ar lost a powerful ally." Jean explained, drawing the attention of the attentive audience.

Spider-Man comments upon hearing it, "So, Gladiator changed his allegiance quicker than I can swing between buildings."

He can't forget his habit of commenting on everything like Deadpool.

Jean continued, "Lilandra returned and decided to take the power of Shi'ar for herself. Hearing her words, some were happy to see her back, while others, loyal to Emperor Vulcan, felt angered and betrayed."

"Lilandra and the Starjammers proceeded to the temple in order to renew her oath. However, they were confronted by the Death Commandos."

"They fought, though once the dust had cleared, Lilandra was seen laying in the arms of Gladiator seemingly dead after having been shot by another Raptor."

"Vulcan was delighted to hear the news about Lilandra's death. He celebrated until Admiral Ka'ardum reminded him of the need for a peace treaty with the Inhumans and Kree to resolve the internal conflicts within the Shi'ar Empire."

Jean Grey continued her narrative, "Meanwhile, the Inhumans launched the T-Bomb which Terrigen made into a weapon."

Jean clarified, "The T-Bomb, powered by Black Bolt's voice, needed his presence to function as a weapon. Black Bolt chose to stay inside and sacrifice himself to bring an end to the war between the Shi'ar and Kree. Vulcan flew through the Inhuman sentries and broke into the bomb where Black Bolt was."

"The fight continued, with Vulcan gaining the upper hand and mocking Black Bolt."

Sue Storm, her concern evident, asked, "What happened next?"

"In the battle byVulcan was about to deliver the finishing blow to Black Bolt…" Jean paused mid way, causing everyone to start thinking what had happened.

She has the ability of Story Teller.

Spider-Man leaned forward, eager for the twist, and asked, "What happened? What Black Bolt do?"

"At the last moment, Black Bolt opened his mouth, and unleashed the power of his voice, shouting at Vulcan before he could strike. The sheer force of Black Bolt's scream seemed to overpower Vulcan, seemingly killing him."

"Crystal and Lockjaw rushed to save Black Bolt from the aftermath of the battle. However, their escape was cut short."

"Before they could teleport away from the T-Bomb, Vulca was alive, and he launched a counterattack. He had the ability to rebuild himself." She explained.

"Vulcan was again near to finish off Black Bolt. While Black Bolt unleashed a powerful blast that set off the T-Bomb, causing a massive explosion. The force was so immense that it blew a hole in space and time."

Jean continued her explanation. The Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, now engrossed in this story saga, listened as the story took a darker turn on Earth.

"After the war of Kings concluded, both Black Bolt and Vulcan were believed to be dead, and The Fault was born—a rift in space and time," Jean narrated, setting the stage for the subsequent events.

Reed Richards, his mind grappling with the cosmic implications, questioned, "So, what happened after The Fault was created. So how can Vulcan be present in front of us?"

Jean continued, revealing the unexpected twist, "Contrary to belief, Vulcan survived. Mr. Sinister intervened, saving him and bringing him to Earth. With the Summers brothers gathering, they took control of a Breeding Pen."

She continues, "Under Sinister's command, Vulcan, targeted us on Earth. He killed Banshee, overpowered myself and Wolverine, and captured Storm and Beast."

"At the end, I was able to tap into the Phoenix Force, managed to briefly injure Vulcan, and save ourselves."

"I tried to end Vulcan for all, but Vulcan was too strong and managed to escape."

Back to the current scenario, Vulcan was sleeping a few minutes ago in his room. But before Mr. Sinister died, with the telepathic he sent a message to Vulcan to save the Elite Mutant Force, or if he was able, they also took revenge for him.

"I will take the revenge," Vulcan shouted, consumed by the desire for revenge, fueled by a lifetime of cruelty and Sinister's influence, he faced off against Ben Tennyson.

As the X-Men, S.H.I.E.L.D, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man observed, the situation on the battlefield became tense.

"Then let's see," Ben said, he activated the power of the Feedback Alien.

Vulcan, adept at manipulating all forms of energy, unleashed a barrage of destructive power.

To kill Ben Tennyson.

However, Ben easily absorbs all of the energy, which is directed at him.

The Elite Mutant Force, recovering on one side, watched with bated breath, uncertain of the outcome, but they knew by energy attack, no one can defeat Ben.

Vulcan continuously fired his energy attack. But Ben seems to absorb it all easily.

While Ben also sends back the energy attack with amplified power, filled with crackling electricity.

Yet, Vulcan, not to be outdone, harnessed his own energy absorption capabilities, and absorbed it with a dark grin, gathering the energy to unleash a counterassault.

Seeing that, no one was gaining the upper hand in the energy attack, only destruction was happening around there.

They decided to do a physical showdown.

Both combatants, endowed with superhuman strength and durability, engaged in a relentless exchange of blows.

However, Ben's combat skills began to tip the scales in his favor.

With a well-timed combination of strikes, Ben gained the upper hand in the physical confrontation.

Vulcan, despite his superhuman attributes, found himself struggling against Ben.

Seizing the opportune moment, Ben unleashed his strongest mixed attack, combining physical and energy assault.

The blast nearly overwhelmed Vulcan. But Vulcan activated his Reconstruction ability.

With this power, he began rebuilding himself, defying the damage inflicted by Ben's potent attack.

"Is that all you've got, Vulcan? Then it ends now!" Ben said, as he tired of this meaningless fight.

He activated his Anodite magic powers. A radiant glow enveloped Vulcan. When Ben swiftly bound his legs and hands with ethereal energy, leaving him temporarily immobilized.

"You're about to feel the real power," Ben declared, his eyes glowing with determination as he unleashed a barrage of punches on the restrained Vulcan.

Vulcan struggled against the magical bindings, gritting his teeth. "You may have the advantage now, but this won't be the end, Tennyson."

Ben absorbed the remaining energy from Vulcan, leaving him in a tattered and powerless state.

As the energy drained, Vulcan's defiant words echoed through the battlefield.

"You may have won this round, Ben, but don't underestimate me."

"Well, whatever, since you were not a threat like Sinister, I also don't want to get my hands dirty." Ben decided to spare him, he didn't find him the danger of the world.

The once-mighty Vulcan lay defeated, drained of energy, and unable to reconstruct himself.

The battlefield fell silent.

As the aftermath settled, the defeated Elite Mutant Force, Dark Beast, Cyclops, Havok, Aurora, Northstar, Amazon, and Cannonball, faced a grim realization.

Vulcan's loss meant not only the end of their revenge but also the threat of imprisonment by S.H.I.E.L.D, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man.

The heroes sighed in relief, believing they had once again secured the safety of the world.

However, their moment of respite was abruptly cut short by the sudden arrival of a figure.

A mysterious and foreboding aura surrounded the newcomer. The newcomer was a massive, hulking figure, standing well over seven feet tall.

His physique exudes power and strength, with a heavily muscled and imposing build.

His body is covered in predominantly black, with accents of dark red and metallic silver, metallic-looking armor that gives off an intimidating aura.

The helmet is a prominent feature of his appearance. It is a sharp, angular design, with a prominent brow line and pointed edges.

Completely encloses his head, leaving only his glowing red eyes visible.

He wears a flowing, billowing cape that extends from his shoulders down to his feet; it is tattered and frayed, giving it a worn and battle-worn appearance.

It is usually dark in color, matching the overall aesthetic of his armor.

Everyone was confused, now who have come stood amidst the aftermath of the battle, both heroes and villains alike couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

They don't know who he was, good or bad.

But Ben knew who this person was. It was none other than the Onslaught.

In Universe 231, when Ben was traveling, he met with the Onslaught. It was a fusion of Professor X and Magneto.

And in different Universes, there were different reasons for the birth of Onslaught.
