Tony reveled in the capabilities of Arsenal, a gift from his father. However, their joy was short-lived, when they heard the news that the Grim Reaper had attacked a military base.
Tony, eager to showcase Arsenal's powers, confronted Grim Reaper. In the battle, Grim Reaper unleashed an electromagnetic pulse that incapacitated Tony, compelling Arsenal to prioritize protecting him.
Exploiting the situation, Grim Reaper activated a missile targeting the Avengers Tower. With urgency in the air, Tony directed Arsenal to intercept and absorb the missile's energy to prevent Manhattan's destruction.
Meanwhile, Captain America issued a command Thor to redirect the nuclear missile upwards. Thor caught the missile and redirected it upwards, but an unexpected explosion followed. In the aftermath, Thor, initially fearing the worst, opened his eyes to find himself unharmed.
Arsenal had absorbed the entire nuclear radiation, ensuring both Thor's safety and preventing catastrophic damage to Manhattan. Impressed by Arsenal's valor, Tony welcomed him as a full-fledged Avenger.
"So, Arsenal becomes an Avenger. If he can join, maybe my coffee maker will join too. Should I give it a call?" Hawkeye teased Tony, casually playing with a dartboard.
"Stopping a 30-megaton missile is not impressive enough for you?" Tony retorted.
"I am impressed with Arsenal. He smells better than Hulk," Thor praised, acknowledging Arsenal's pivotal role in saving lives, including his own.
Hulk, after playfully hitting Arsenal's shoulder, observed its resilience, it didn't move a little inch even with Hulk punch. "I like you, robot. You take hits better than Thor."
"I'm impressed too," Ben concurred, while Falcon and Black Widow voiced their cheers.
However, Fury intervened, cautioning them against causing further damage, specifically referencing the havoc wreaked in Russia.
"It was a little bit of damage, and it's okay for destroying the alien's ship," Captain justified. Fury countered by revealing the extensive destruction in Russia, showcasing numerous buildings reduced to ruins.
Observing the extensive destruction in Russia, the Avengers realized it was the handiwork of Thanos.
Black Widow attempted to extract information from Red Skull regarding Thanos' location, but the latter only repeated cryptic words, "Thanos, Five Gem, Power, Mind," offering no substantial help.
Meanwhile, on the moon, the Watcher searched for Thanos' location on Earth but couldn't find it. Unexpectedly, Thanos appeared at the Watcher's location.
Back on Earth, the Avengers conducted simulations to assess Arsenal's capabilities using the Power Gem. The horrifying result showed Earth's destruction.
"Does using the Power Gem with Arsenal always lead to Earth's destruction?" Falcon inquired.
"No, sometimes even more than that. It could affect entire universes," Tony responded as they concluded the simulation.
"But he can stop the energy," Falcon suggested.
"Yes, but I don't know what happens to the absorbed energy. Dad didn't give me any manual," Tony admitted, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding Arsenal's abilities and the potential consequences of using the Power Gem.
Suddenly, Arsenal activated a hologram displaying words left by Tony's dad inside its structure.
The hologram explained that Arsenal was created as the best friend for Tony, and for his safety, Arsenal would shuttle excess power into a parallel dimension. While Arsenal could also bring back the power, it would lead to its obliteration.
Amid the revelation, the Avengers found moments of enjoyment. Thor and Hulk immersed themselves in gaming, while Ben lounged on the sofa, munching on popcorn and watching their gameplay.
Their leisure was abruptly interrupted by a fireball entering Avengers Tower. To their surprise, it was the Watcher, thrown by Thanos from the moon to deliver an invitation to the Blue Area of the Moon.
"Thanos doesn't use email, so he threw the Watcher from the Moon," Hawkeye quipped, injecting humor as they prepared to board the Avenjet and face the impending challenge.
"Thanos only needs the Power Stone. Why are we bringing the robot with us?" Hawkeye questioned.
"It was a risk. If anything would go wrong, Arsenal would use his ability to project the power of the Infinity Stone as a last resort if we couldn't defeat the Mad Titan," Ben explained.
However, their Avenjet collided with a Moon rock thrown by Thanos, destroying the vehicle. Unbeknownst to Thanos, it was a decoy set up by Black Widow, allowing them to capture Thanos in a specially designed cell.
The cell utilized inverse force energy, created by Falcon. The more force applied from within, the stronger the cell became.
Finally, the Avenjet landed in the Blue Area of the Moon, the only place with oxygen. Thanos issued a warning, demanding they hand over the Power Stone stolen by Red Skull in exchange for leaving Earth unharmed.
Tony defiantly declined Thanos' demand. In response, Thanos seized Hulk and Thor, colliding them with the cell. The impact, being an external force, shattered the cell, freeing the Mad Titan.
Thanos continued to pose a formidable challenge for the Avengers. In a single strike, Tony was thrown to the Watcher's Citadel.
Hawkeye's mightiest arrow, designed for the Hulkbuster, showed no reaction as it failed to thwart Thanos. Hawkeye, thrown back, collided with Falcon.
Thanos then captured Captain and Black Widow, forcefully slamming them into each other.
Meanwhile, in the Watcher's Citadel, Tony discovered an array of advanced equipment. With the Watcher's permission, he began utilizing the equipment to craft a device that would assist Arsenal in focusing the beam from the unstable Infinity Stone.
As the battle raged outside, Tony worked against the clock to create a tool that could potentially turn the tide against the powerful Thanos.
Using lenses and other salvaged materials from the Watcher's arsenal, Tony constructed a focuser that made the Infinity Stone's beam efficient enough to harm Thanos.
Outside the Watcher's Citadel, Ben attempted to focus his Sleep Dust on Thanos, but the cunning Titan evaded it by creating a force field, shielding himself from the soporific effects of the Sleep Dust.
Hulk attempted to engage Thanos once more, but the Titan effortlessly threw him back. Thor swung Mjölnir in an attack, but Thanos skillfully dodged and countered, delivering a powerful punch that sent Thor crashing downward.
To everyone's surprise, Thanos even attempted to lift Thor's hammer, Mjölnir.
"You can't pick up the Mjölnir, you are not worthy?" Thor remarked.
"If I can't hit you with the hammer… Then I will hit the hammer with you!" Thanos declared, seizing Thor and repeatedly slamming him onto Mjölnir.
As the confrontation unfolded, Arsenal emerged from the Watcher's Citadel, equipped with the focus device fixed in its head.
Utilizing the Power Gem, Arsenal unleashed a powerful attack on Thanos, resulting in a resounding blast. In that moment, the Avengers believed they had achieved victory over the formidable Titan.
However, Thanos' laughter reverberated as he revealed the true source of his power. "You thought I'd come for the Power Stone… Without a way to contain it?" Thanos raised his hands, adorned with the Infinity Gauntlet. "This is the Infinity Gauntlet."
Arsenal suggested using the absorbed blast from the nuclear missile to defeat Thanos. Although Tony initially hesitated, fearing it would destroy Arsenal, he ultimately agreed to the plan.
Yet, Thanos, equipped with the Infinity Gauntlet designed to contain the power of the Infinity Stone, effortlessly absorbed the attack. Seizing Arsenal by the neck, Thanos extracted the Power Gem from within, breaking apart the robotic entity until only its head remained.
Thanos affixed the Power Gem to his Infinity Gauntlet, amplifying his already formidable power. The Avengers now faced an even more formidable adversary, their initial victory proving short-lived in the face of Thanos' newfound might.
"Avengers, you rejected my offer. I shall not spare your world. I'm going to destroy..." Before Thanos could complete his threat, he began to fall asleep.
"Wheeewww, now the problem is solved," Ben remarked, flying around the now-sleeping Thanos.
When Thanos was busy in the fixing the Power Gem, and he forgets create a power sheild around himself. Capitalizing on the moment, Ben had used his Sleep Dust. With a spinning motion, he surrounded Thanos, causing the Titan to fall asleep before he could inflict any further damage.
"Now what do we do with him?" Captain inquired, while Tony mournfully cradled the broken head of Arsenal in a corner. The Avengers faced the challenge of deciding the fate of the slumbering Thanos and contemplating their next steps in the aftermath of the intense confrontation.
"I know what we need to do," Ben asserted. "What's your plan?" Natasha inquired.
"First, we need something to multiply my voice. Then we need Captain's Shield, Thor's full electricity to generate a cosmic force, and at the same time, we need Hulk's attack on Thor's hammer. Together, we can destroy the Power Gem. Alternatively, you can keep it, but it also means many could become corrupted for using the Power Gem," Ben explained his plan.
"I agree with it," Captain promptly responded, unwilling to let such power remain on Earth.
"Captain, I need to think about it," Tony attempted to interject.
"No, it needs to be disposed of. I agree with it," Black Widow concurred, aware that if the Power Gem stayed on Earth, Fury would likely want to harness its potential.
"Yes, this artifact wields power beyond mortal comprehension," Thor concurred with a solemn nod, prompting their unanimous decision to proceed with the devised plan.
They strategically positioned Thanos to the side and delicately extracted the Power Gem from the formidable Infinity Gauntlet. Ensuring utmost caution, they enveloped it from three sides, each hero taking their designated stance.
Hulk commenced gathering his potent Gamma Energy, Thor harnessed the crackling power of thunder, and Captain assumed a poised position, securing his Vibranium Shield with unwavering determination.
"Alright, team, let's make this count," Ben declared, as Widow, Hawkeye, Tony, and Falcon observed the unfolding spectacle from a distance, their anticipation palpable.
Hulk channeled the amassed energy into Thor's mighty Mjölnir. Simultaneously, Thor directed the potent force onto Captain's resolute Shield. In a synchronized motion, Ben, equipped with an amplifier device fashioned by Falcon, unleashed a resounding sound manipulation. The amalgamation of Vibranium Shield, Thor's thunder, and Hulk's Gamma force surged towards the vulnerable Power Gem.
The Infinity Gem teetered on the brink of destruction, only to have Thanos unexpectedly rouse. He leaped into the midst of the celestial clash. Undeterred, Ben skillfully redirected the overwhelming energy with his sonorous voice, resulting in a colossal blast that obliterated not only the Power Gem but also Thanos, the Mad Titan, flinging him "halfway across the universe."
As the Avengers bid their farewell to the Watcher and began their journey back to Earth, Tony carefully cradled the head of Arsenal. Determination etched across his face, he eagerly prepared to place it in his workshop, harboring the intent to reconstruct his robotic companion.
However, unbeknownst to the victorious heroes, just before the destruction of Thanos and the Power Gem, the Mad Titan cunningly employed the Tesseract Cube to vanish from the scene.
