Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Divine Light of Genocide

Raven hummed softly as he worked on a new spell, it was admittedly not an original spell, but rather based off a spell known by Zelretch's teacher, Solomon, yes that Solomon, and boy had that been a shocker.

Raven really had to wonder how he even had time to do anything with 700 wives and 300 concubines. Shaking his head he focused.

The spell was one born of suffering, of death. It was made to burn. The name of the spell was Ars Almadel Salomonis. At its peak strength it could form a ring of light in the atmosphere the size of great America, and each Individual beam from it could rival a full power blast of Excalibur.

However according to Zelretch, this spell in most timelines gained its strength through the ages by ending the history of humanity. Wiping them out.

"So I could gain unrivaled power by wiping out humanity." Raven grinned as a small ring of white light floated above his hand, it was hit like a fire.

Raven blinked as he was smacked in the back of the head, looking up he saw a few people staring at him with deadpan looks.

"No humanity errsure for you." Rose deadpanned before going back to her book.

Raven rolled his eyes, but returned to focusing on his spell, this time without wiping out human history, sadly.

"Fine, I won't burn away humanity." He said after a moment, an amused expression forming on his face as he looked back up towards her. "Wait, why are you wrapped up like a mummy?" He did a double take at her appearance.

"It's my holloween costume." She said sarcastically.

"Holloween is still like two weeks off though?" He replied half distracted as the white ring of holy energy seemed to glitch before fixing itself.

"I can't prepare early on?" She asked and Raven didn't reply before he absorbed the energy of the ring back into himself before looking up at her.

"You should have a better costume." He smirked as she huffed and crossed her arms.

"Like what? A succubus you horny bastard, I bet you'd like that." She smirked at him and he raised an eyebrow as he stood up and slowly walked towards her, his steps echoing softly across the stone floor, and as he got next to her he learned down.

"Don't tempt me dear apprentice~" he whispered softly into her ear. A fierce red blush spread across her face.

"Don't play games you aren't able to win." He chuckled and walked off.

"There is so much tension between those two." One person commented.

"So much." Another agreed.

Rose went red as more people agreed with that original person. She stood up and quickly walked off.

"Divine Light of Genocide, should have been the name given to this spell, but I guess it also serves as a potent battery." Raven mused as he carved runes into a ring. "Now it'll be the name of my new spell." He chucked as he carved the final rune into the ring.

In his hand, above the now put on ring, a small ring of white light formed.

"Go my little battery, exist between planes and generate ultimate power." Raven smiled as the ring of light vanished from his hands as it flew up into the sky at extreme speeds.

"To think I could eventually tie such a spell to a simple ring, but if it was done before, then I can do it now." Raven smirked with his ego at an all time high.

"What's got you two down?" Raven asked the twins who were slumped on the floor of Raven's miniature workshop at Hogwarts.

"Clothing. Training destroys our clothes, and there only so much repair charms can handle." They spoke and he couldn't understand that, his clothes were unnaturally durable being made by the divine, and he could always remake his own clothes at will too.

"It's expensive too, we only have so much money, you know." Raven did understand that, not as one of the richest people around, but as a former orphan, he knew that feeling.

"I see." Raven replied instead as he summoned a notebook and started sketching, a quick glance at the two before going back to sketching.

"If you had a choice, would you pick armor, or actual clothes with the defense and durability of armor?" Raven asked curiously.

"Actual armor." They said as the imagined themselves in some cool armor and fighting.

"Interesting." Raven said before he faded away in particles of Dawn Energy.

Raven smiled as he hammered down a piece of metal on his anvil into the shape of a spike, his workshop reverberating the sounds all around its giant hollow shell.

"Now to carve the runes into the inside." He grabbed his carving knife, made for metal, and started getting to work. Rune set after rune set was carved into many pieces of metal. Each one unique and different, no one was the same.

"Now this piece is done." He murmured to himself as he carved one final rune, and with it the end of his rune carving work. "Now I need to assemble the pieces." He grabbed piece laying about and started putting them together as needed on mannequins.

After ten minutes he had all three assembled, honestly it was some of his better work, besides Malevolent, Cosmo and Damocles. Of course these pieces of armor he had created weren't run of the mill gear, they were something that many would fight over.

Raven took a moment before he flicked his hand and three message spells flew out to grab the three people.

Raven smiled as he sat on a large rock idly swishing his feet as he waited for the three to arrive, not three minutes later the twins arrived now dressed in the identical armor he provided for them.

"Well well, look what got dragged in." Raven called as he stood up from the rock, in that moment Rose walked around the corner now dressed in her own armor.

(Images will he provided in AN)

"Now then, we can begin." He slowly stepped down from the rock, walking on the air as if he was going down a set of stairs.

Rose rolled her eyes and Raven smiled at her with a soft smile before he did a finger bang at her, all of a sudden a magical explosion hit Rose. The smock quickly cleared to reveal her just fine.

"Innate magical resistance to around high class levels, if not middle ultimate class." Raven was of course referring to how the supernatural like to rank beings. That is by borrowing the power ranking of devils.

It was an amusing thought.

"Could have just said so, instead of blasting me." Rose complained and Raven only smiled.

"What else can they do?" The twins asked excitedly.

"[Magic Resistance] [Physcial Damage Resistance] [Elemental Attack Resistance] [Magic Sense Suppression] [Soul Bound] [Partial Materialization] and [Temperature Controlled]. Not bad for a days worth of work." Raven smirked pleased with himself as the three couldn't help it, they stared wide eye at him and were gaping in shock.

"Now, let us have a nice rumble." Raven smiled with the gentleness of a saint, even his eyes showed the same kindness, however the aura of anticipation and battle lust was leaking out his body heavily.

"Prepare yourselves, this time I'll take you seriously." He grinned showing sharp fanged teeth, and in the next moment he was blocking a double fist combo by the twins while using his leg to block a kick from Rose, gravity magic was of course used to keep himself perfectly balanced.

"So eager~" he laughed and somehow did a spin kick sending all three flying backwards. The next moment rays did magics were flying towards the three forcing them to either shield, block or dodge.

Raven took that moment to take a single step forward and appeared between the twins, but in that same moment Rose appeared wielding what seemed to be a sword made of fire as she aimed to stab him. A russet colored flame sword at that, and he smiled.

A shield appeared blocking the flames and he clapped his hands together as the ground rose up sending the twins flying away, the next moment he summoned malevolent and flashed swords with Rose.

"Come now my dear apprentice, is that all you have?" He asked with a teasing smile before suddenly her hair lit up in the same russet flames and fire flew from it forming flaming clones wielding the same swords.

"Impressive." He grinned before he kicked her away and leapt up to avoid two spears of blood from piercing him.

"You two have also studied well." Raven complemented the twins who were falling from the sky.

"However, if you think that's enough to handle me, then you are mistaken." He raised malevolent forward as it took on staff form and said a with a single word, an untold amount of spells came flying out.

The three were forced on the defensive almost immediately as they had to differentiate between what they could tank, what they should dodge and what to block.

Raven suddenly paused his casting as he looked to the side and frowned, confusion written all over his face.

"Beatin-, training time is over." Raven said before he suddenly disappeared in a burst of pure speed.

The trio shared a look of confusion and frustration, confusion on why he ran off, frustration on not being able to even do a single bit of damage to Raven.

Raven frowned as he appeared suddenly somewhere in the ocean, he could feel faint traces of death magic lingering, but beyond that, nothing. He couldn't find any other sources.

"Whoever used such potent death magic certainly was prepared, or perhaps I'm picking up lingering energy." He frowned and did his best to follow the scraps of energy left behind.
