Tori sighed after using all her strength to break through the moon's defenses and get inside. She was now somewhat exhausted, and her fox tails had disappeared as a result. Tori hadn't expected her risky gamble to be so effective; the sacrifice wasn't a loss after all.
After regaining her strength, she stood up to survey her surroundings. Looking up, she saw the shield slowly closing after being pierced by her attack.
The fox in her hand had vanished, and Tori wasn't surprised, for she could feel another flame ignited within her. It seemed the fox had merged with her, giving her the strength to break through that defense.
"Thank you so much....Kisetsu" Tori whispered.
The moon was nothing but rocks and barren ground, devoid of any life. Yet, miraculously, in this lifeless place, breathing was possible.
