Chapter 198: The Wrath Of A Kage

Hiruzen, Danzo, Koharu, and Homura were completely unprepared for the sight before them. Their eyes widened in disbelief as they saw someone who was supposed to be long dead standing alive in front of them. That man was their former sensei—Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage. The shock struck them like a bolt of thunder, leaving their bodies frozen as they struggled to understand what they were seeing.

Tobirama took advantage of the moment and struck both Hiruzen and Danzo. They both was punched and sent flying through a nearby wall, the force of the blow collapsing part of the building.

Though both he and Danzo had been hit, they survived. At the last moment, they had managed to shield themselves with chakra, minimizing the damage.

From amidst the rubble, Hiruzen staggered to his feet, brushing dust from his torn robes. He stared at the man who had just attacked them, his voice trembling with confusion and disbelief.

"You... you..." he pointed at Tobirama, his hand shaking. "Aren't you supposed to be dead?"

Tobirama raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. "Oh? So you want me to be dead?"

Silence fell over the group. Danzo took the opportunity to scrutinize the man who had attacked them, his sharp eyes flicking between Tobirama and Hashirama.

Koharu and Homura finally stirred from their stupor, slowly rising to their feet, still dazed.

In mere seconds, a wave of shinobi began to arrive at the scene, appearing in bursts of motion thanks to their body flicker technique. They came ready for battle, no one sane enough will attack the Hokage building, but once they come, they become cautious and tense upon seeing the person who stand on on the building.

Gasps echoed through the crowd as they recognized not only the Second Hokage but also the unmistakable figure of Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. Murmurs erupted among the shinobi.

"That's impossible... Isn't that the First Hokage?"

"And the Second too? But they died decades ago!"

Some of the shinobi drew their weapons, instincts warning them this could be a trap. A few even suspected that these figures were impostors using transformation jutsu.

Even Hiruzen, who had trained under Tobirama himself, hesitated. He glanced at Danzo and coincidentally Danzo are also looking at him. They then looked back at the supposedly dead teacher, looking at Tobirama, Mikoto and Hashirama make their old memories resurfaced. . It was impossible—the Second Hokage was dead. He had seen the body. They had buried him with their own hands.

"They're impostors!" Hiruzen shouted. "Enemies disguised as the former Hokage! Detain them immediately!"

His words triggered a swift reaction. Shinobi surged forward, launching coordinated attacks at the supposed intruders.

Tobirama's expression darkened with fury. The cold wrath in his eyes revealed how long he had restrained his anger. "You dare," he muttered under his breath.

Before the first wave of shinobi could reach them, Hashirama raised his hand and slammed it to the ground. A massive wooden golem burst from the earth, sending tremors through the area and halting everyone in their tracks.

Gasps erupted once again.

"That's the Wood Release—only the First Hokage could use that!"

"Wait… how can someone mimic it so perfectly?"

Then, a commanding voice rang out above the chaos.

"STOP!!"

Everyone turned toward the new arrival—Mito Uzumaki, the wife of Hashirama Senju. She stood firm, her red hair billowing in the wind, her expression calm yet commanding.

"They are not impostors," Mito declared. "They are truly the First and Second Hokage."

"Mito-sama, with all due respect, they could be enemies using genjutsu or forbidden techniques," Hiruzen argued.

"No," she said firmly. "They were never truly dead. Their deaths were faked, and they were hidden away for reasons I will explain later."

A heavy silence followed.

No one had ever imagined such a deception. Whispers rippled through the gathered shinobi as disbelief slowly gave way to awe, shock—and a growing fear. What else had been kept from them all these years?

Even Tobirama and Hashirama turned their eyes toward Mito in surprise, their expressions filled with silent questions.

How much did she know?

They had believed for a long time that they were truly dead, and now Mito stood before them, claiming she had kept the secret of their survival all along.

---Madara POV---

Thousands of miles away, in a hidden chamber deep beneath the earth, an old man lay silently on a stone bed, his breathing slow and steady. Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, glowing with intensity. That man was none other than Uchiha Madara.

For a brief moment, he said nothing. But his expression twisted into something sharp and calculating. He had sensed something. No, not just something—but someone. A chakra so distinct, so powerful, and so familiar that it sent chills down his spine.

"Impossible…" Madara whispered, rising slowly to a sitting position. "That chakra... it can't be."

A wide grin formed on his face, one filled with excitement and a hint of madness. He clenched his fists as the realization settled in.

"Yes… it's him."

His voice trembled with delight.

"Hashirama."

He stood up completely now, energized. "So, you've returned from the dead, old friend? But how?"

The last time Madara faced Hashirama, he hadn't awakened the Rinnegan. Back then, he was strong, but not like he was now. He had waited years, hidden in shadows, for the eyes to evolve and he had succeeded, but if Hashirama truly returned...

"I want to face him again. This time, as equals or better."

His eyes gleamed. The desire to clash with Hashirama once more surged through his veins.

Madara turned sharply to his side. "White Zetsu."

A creature emerged from the wall, half-formed and grinning. "Yes, Madara-sama?"

"Find out if Hashirama is really back. If it's true, I need to know everything and how he returned, and by whose hands."

Before White Zetsu could reply, Black Zetsu also slithered into view, his voice laced with disbelief.

"Hashirama... alive? Madarasa sama, are you certain?"

Madara nodded slowly, his grin returning. "Yes. I can feel him. That chakra—it's his, without question."

Black Zetsu narrowed his eyes. "If it really is him, then something big is happening. Something that wasn't supposed to occur."

"I'll go with White Zetsu," Black Zetsu offered. "We can cover more ground."

Madara waved his hand. "Do it. Go now. I want answers."

As they vanished into the earth, Madara looked up, eyes burning with anticipation. "Hashirama... this time, I won't lose. Let's see what brought you back, so I can destroy it or maybe use for my body."
