After Candice released her surprisingly strong hands, Oliver sat down at the other edge of the seat, dropping his briefcase to the side, he exhaled and adjusted himself on the seat when he turned his head and noticed Candice staring at him, he looked at her puzzeled and asked
"what, is there something on my face"
[Candice laughed and said]- " nothing I'm just curious of the miracle boy from the village who snatched a spot from people with better conditions than him,"
Oliver was astonished (whats this about??, the spot was it taken from someone she knew, her brother or sister, damn first day of school and i'm already getting threats) Oliver wanted to cry but no tears came out
Seeing his expression Candince laughed and thought ( hmmm..he seems pretty fun to tease, OMG and his thought process, i'm dying of laughter)
Candice smiled and said -" don't worry i mean no harm, i'm just genuinely curious about you, its not everyday we get a common boy in a prestigious academy."
"ar....m..." Oliver wasn't sure how to process the information was it a threat compliment or mockery, he was just confused, Oliver was about to reply when a voice rang out from the seat ahead of them, a boy at least older than oliver by a year looked at him and said
"thats right a common boy like you should know your place if it wasn't for the mercy of the academy, you would be accepted into the school, don't think you're a big deal now that your here"
Oliver was specchless and could only respons- " i'm sorry who are you"
suddenly the bus fell silent you could only hear the sound of the bus driver whistling in a soft tone.., a chuckle peirced through the stagnant atmosphere it was candice laughing softly, she looked at the boy and said still laughing
"good question Oliver, yes who are you"
