Athen noticed the black light that surrounded me. And turned his head back towards me.
"No fucking shot this fucker is still alive." He said out loud.
The wind flowed through Athens hair as he sprinted towards me. A flash of light appeared in his hands, which then revealed a strange device that was shaped like a gun. Time slowed down with each step he took. His eyes never looked anywhere else and only stared at the light that surrounded me.
The eyes of a man, who once wanted to live, appeared behind him. The same man who was born since the beginning of the universe, the one who made his own army with his siblings to face the universe, the god who was once a father, the god who wanted to help the people, the god who was ostracized by the others, the god who once feared for his own life, the god who regressed a man into the past due to him being past his prime.
The true Athen appeared inside of Sebastian.
I saw the void once more. I saw the god who gave me the powers I have now. The man sitting in a chair with a cigarette.
"Athen.... Why did you do all of this for me? Why am I like this? It's all fucking CONFUSING!!! WHY WAS I THE ONE WHO COULDN'T HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE MY FRIENDS IN THE PAST! WHY WERE THE POWERS IN ME SEALED AND CASTED OUT OF ME. WHY NOW? TELL ME ATHEN!!! TELL ME!!!!" I yelled.
"Sebastian, you couldn't have handled the powers before. I couldn't just outright kill you. I made a promise to your parents. So I sealed your powers inside of me. I waited until you died, so I could've revived you and give the powers you were supposed to get back." Responded Athen.
I began to break down onto the ground of the void. I began to cry once again. I couldn't understand what's happening. I just couldn't.
"YOU SHOULD'VE JUST GIVEN ME THE POWERS. WHEN I YELLED FOR HELP IN THE PAST, WHEN I ASKED FOR THE POWERS I NEEDED TO PROTECT MY FRIEND, WHEN I WANTED TO PROTECT MY GIRLFRIEND, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU FUCKING HELP ME!!!! TELL ME FUCKING DAMNIT!"
"I couldn't Sebastian. I was busy dealing with other gods when you needed help." Said Athen calmly.
"FUCK THE GODS, I KNOW DAMN WELL YOU CAN ONE SHOT THOSE FUCKERS. I KNOW THE VERY NATURE OF YOU AS YOU ARE ME AND I AM YOU!"
"I know. But we're not the same, I never experienced what you had. I've only experienced war and deaths over the worlds in this universe. But the only thing we have in common was the loss of our loved ones. I used to have a wife. She was the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on. We had a few kids but they didn't survive. She and I were close to the same age, but....the both of us were never truly meant to be as fate took her away from me." Said Athen as he walked slowly towards me.
I still laid down on the ground, groveling about the things I never truly experienced and about the life I've had up till now.
Athen then gripped my neck tightly and then lifting myself up from the ground.
"You really think that you truly lived a horrible life? Fuck. You. I've seen many other versions of you that had truly suffered worst. Do you truly think that your the fucking one that needs help? If you do, fuck you. I've never seen a poor performance of a man, especially the one I chose to be my inheritor of my powers. Pathetic." He said as he slowly crushed my neck under his grip.
But something hit Athen at the moment which made him release his grip on Strat.
"All this time I've been trying to help you. I've tried to help you in trying to fix your past mistakes, but all I've seen is you do is just delay the inevitable. You know damn well that the way your doing things are only going to result the same." He said while threw Strat to the ground which caused him to spit out blood.
He then kicked him off to the side towards the left.
"SEBASTIAN, DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN DEFEAT FATE??? CAN YOU REALLY DEFIE THE LAWS OF FATE? EVERY THING THAT YOU HAD EXPERIENCED WAS PREDETERMINED. YOU KNOW THAT SEBASTIAN." He said while placing his hand on his face.
Strat laid there silently while he kept spitting up blood.
"CAN YOU SEE IT NOW SEBASTIAN? CAN YOU SEE IT NOW? WHY WON'T YOU ANSWER ME?" He yelled at Sebastian.
"Fuck you..... I know that this was determined for me. I've known this for a long time. Do you really think I never tried? This has happened to me multiple times before. I've been through this simulation before. I've fought you before,Athen. I've had this simulation route recently. You really think I haven't tried to break this fate of the simulation on me?" Said Sebastian as he tried to lift himself off the ground.
"I've been you before. I've been someone else in another universe. I've seen all of my outcomes. Every single one failed under the my eyes. I've suffered damage to my soul each failure. I've been through what every me has suffered. Do you really think I can't break fate? Do you really think I haven't thought of plans to finish this cursed bullishit I've been reliving? FUCK YOU, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN WHAT I'VE SEEN ATHEN. I'VE BEEN YOU, I KNOW WHAT YOU HAD EXPERIENCED. I KNOW THAT YOU W8FE WAS KILLED BY YOUR HANDS. I KNOW THE FEELINGS YOU'VE HAD SINCE YOU REGRESSED ME. I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU DICK. I'VE SUFFERED PAIN, GRIEF, DEPRESSION, INSANITY, HAPPINESS, EMPTINESS. I KNOW EVERY ROUTE TO DEFY MY FATE, BUT THERE'S ONE THING I NEED TO DO BEFORE IM ABLE TO. IT'S YOU." I said while I stood up and pointed towards Athen.
