Every summer, the baby slimes embarked on a perilous journey. Departing from their villages to the monster training school was a rite of passage crucial for their evolution into higher beings. Even Cori, who had recently "reincarnated" as a baby slime, was not exempted from this challenging experience.
Cori was a normal university student until a truck bumped into him and isekai the shit out of him into this fantasy world full of monsters. When he first arrived into this fantasy world, his spirit form witnessed the daunting challenges that awaited the baby slimes: a bunch of them navigating the floating lily pads across the abyss just to reach their school's entrance (located across Wind Forest's cliff). The elder tree near the cliff added to the difficulty by mercilessly slapping some unfortunate slimes off the lily pads like a sadomaniac, leading to uncertain fates.
The "system" introduced the training school as a crucial step for evolution to all slimes, allowing some baby slimes the option to become human amongst different species of adventurers. Evolution into human, although not illegal, was very much frowned upon due to the need to kill fellow monsters to level up. However, killings can be circumvented if they decided on a non combatant role. Fortunately or unfortunately, Cori was "reborn" in the wind forest which was quite near the training school.
The lack of instructions upon Cori's initial arrival, coupled with the deity's indifference, left him in a modest European-style countryside kitchen to ponder his situation. Cori felt sort of lucky, when the system resembled Earth's RPG (role playing game), offering a semblance of familiarity. Upon awakening, he found himself in the body of a baby slime. The deity who requested the hero, Cori (who was completely clueless about his supposed status), was too lazy to even offer greetings and explainations to his current plight.
The first thing that crossed his mind was the frustrations that accompanied all the wasted studyings for his exams on Earth, followed by, "What the fxxk am I?" As if the situation was not obsfucating enough, Cori was baffled by his newfound abilities, including a 360-degree view and flubber-like paw-hand-fists. Devastated, he lamented, "seriously, god, seriously!?"- no thanks to truck-kun and the deity.
