Chapter 2 - WHERE IT ALL START

In a luxury hotel, 10th floor.

A girl, so drunk that she can't even see her path, crash into something— or rather someone.

She let out a painful groan as her body, out of her control, came crashing down the tiled floor. Not even minding standing up, she even lay completely on the floor, without a care if she's still at the corridor of the hotel.

The man whom she collided to, froze with her sudden action, clueless of what to do.

His expression darkens, eyes roaming around. After not seeing anyone, he doesn't know if he will feel relieved or frustrated.

"What is this situation..." He let out a heavy sigh. His foot gently kicked the girl, after not getting any response, he squatted.

"Hey!" He poked her at the shoulder.

One groan, and a snore follows. The man was dumbfounded.

'She's asleep just like that?!' He thought, slightly amused and slightly annoyed.

After a minute of staring at the girl, a stomach-churning smell assaulted his nose.

"She's quite brave to get drunk without any companion. Not even have any awareness of how dangerous her situation is." He murmured, still in a daze staring at the girl whose face is covered by a string of black long hair.

"How unsightly. How unlady like. Clearly a lady yet still dares to drink so much." Shooking his head, he stood up, fishing his phone from his pocket.

He tapped a number and dialed it. Three rings and someone pick up from the other line.

"Hello, Mr. Santiago?" A voice, with a hint of respect in his tone echoed through the phone.

"Call someone to the 10th floor and help me with something."

After hearing the other line says a reply, he hangs up the call, not waiting for any other conversation.

After three minutes, the elevator opened and there came out, three burly men dressed in white and black, looking like a bodyguard from the spy movie

The three walked towards the man, their faced unreadable as they glimpsed at the girl who is sprawled on the ground.

The man, who is called Mr. Santiago, didn't change his expression, just calmly standing up aside.

"That." He pointed at the intoxicated girl on the floor. "Bring her to a near hospital. She's drunk." When his about to turn his back, he remembers something.

He looked back seriously. "Call me when you arrived at the hospital and tell me which hospital it is." He added before walking away, hand in his pocket.

The men in black look at each other with a knowing look on their faces.

"Let's go and bring this lady." One of the guys, the one in the middle, squatted down to pick up the girl.

The two immediately helps to carry the drunken girl. The moment they got close to the girl, they smell the strong liquor on her body. They crunched up their noses when the smell assaulted their nose. Even if they're used to drink heavily, the smell stills affected them.

"This lady sure is strong." The one with the mustache said, nodding approvingly.

"Strong?" The other who has no hair all the way to his head snorted. "If she's strong, then there's no weak." He sarcastically stated.

While the three-bodyguard converse their way down the building while carrying the unconscious girl, Mr. Santiago enters his penthouse. It's the last floor of the building and a whole floor too.

He uses his exclusive elevator that has a passcode that he can only access. After entering his room, he removes his blazer and hung it to the coat rack.

He stepped on his grey carpet with his slippers ready to go to the bathroom to take a bath.

The room is a combination of grey and black that didn't look gloomy but rather it fit the aura of the man. Elegant and mysterious, like a shadow that has many hidden depths.

It was minimalistic, the furniture can be counted with just one hand but when one look closely, one furniture can cost three digits.

On the other hand, the men in black admitted the lady to the nearest hospital. They nearly got into trouble because they don't know any information about the girl, luckily the hospital is affable that when they examine the girl and find that no harm is done with her except from being drunk, and when the bodyguard tell them what happened, they let go of them and focuses on the girl.

The three breathe a sigh of relief before exiting the hospital. They drove a lowkey black car that stink now because when they are driving the girl vomited on the backseat. Luckily the other man, the one with the mustache didn't get any residue of the vomit, or else he will feel uncomfortable all the way back.

"That's such a headache." The most serious guy among the three complained while stretching his arm.

"You said it." The bald man expressionlessly assents; he even scratched the side of his head.

"You don't even have a hair, why the need to scratch." The mustache guy joke and laugh the same time.

They drive while they talk, not knowing that the girl that they brough to the hospital is having a seizure. She got alcohol poisoning and needed to be brought to the emergency room to monitor her vitals and administering IV fluids.

Her face is pale to the point that she looks like she doesn't have any blood in her. Her hair is a mess and her lips unusually purple. The doctor did an oxygen therapy when he saw that the girl is having trouble breathing.

Two different worlds,

two different lives,

yet fate decided

to make them meet

and build memories
