Two boys could be seen walking down the streets of the Hidden Leaf Village. They had striking blue eyes and birth marks that looked like whiskers on their faces. They both seem to be only at the age of five. They looked practically identical except that one had blonde hair while the other had black.
As they were walking down the street, everyone seemed to be keeping their distant from them like they had the plague and looking at them like they killed their family members or something.
Kids of their age without parents would usually be at the orphanage, but today, they were kicked out because of trying to fight back when they were bullied. The compelling reason was that they were too violent and that they couldn't keep them around the other children.
"So, what now, Naruto?" The black-haired one asked the blond one, Naruto, as he looked at how the villagers were treating them.
"Not sure, Izuna, aren't you always claiming to be older one? Shouldn't you be the one with the plan?" Naruto jokingly told Izuna.
"If it wasn't for you interfering when those guys were bulling that girl, we wouldn't be in this situation right now." Izuna said while looking at Naruto accusingly.
Naruto just shrugged and responded, "If I just watched that girl be bullied like that, it would leave a sour taste in my mouth. Besides, you also looked ready to go too."
"Even if we didn't do anything, her caretakers would've arrived to stop them either way. They were right there."
"You may be right, but I...." Naruto didn't even finish his sentence before fainting.
Izuna was surprised that Naruto suddenly fainted but reacted quickly enough to prevent him from falling on the ground.
"Naruto? Hey, don't scare me like that!" Izuna immediately started to panic before quickly pulling Naruto off the streets and into an empty alleyway.
He then began to do a check on him before starting to frown.
"Nothing is wrong with the body. His energy is not disturbed. It might be a problem with his soul."
Izuna then placed his palm on Naruto's forehead and then closed his eyes.
Naruto's soul -
His surroundings started to change from the alleyway into a sewer with water coming a bit above his ankle.
He looked around until he found Naruto lying down on his back.
He rushed over to check in him. Seeing as if nothing was wrong, he released a quick sigh of relief. Hurriedly looked around until he saw a group of memories quickly disappearing.
He hurriedly grabbed one of them and then saw a Naruto that was around the age of fourteen training with a man with long white hair and two red markings coming from his eyes down to his jaw. He also had a headband with the word 'oil' on it.
By the time he was done looking at the memory, the rest of them had already disappeared or assimilated in Naruto's soul.
"Was that Naruto? It looks like these memories are the culprit. Was that the future?" Izuna started to furrow his brows.
"What are you doing here, pipsqueak?" A voice filled with malice spoke.
Izuna glances towards the direction of the voice. He then saw a gate with something that looked like a talisman in the center of it. Behind the gate, he saw a gaint red eye with slit pupils looking at him.
It was a gaint fox with an upper body like that of a human and nine tails.
"I was just checking on Naruto. Do you know what happened, Kurama?" Izuna asked casually.
"It seems like you're on friendly terms with the 'me' that is sealed in you, but don't think for a minute that I'm the same as him. I'll take over this brat's body as soon as I get the chance."
"Well, you're not much help." Izuna muttered. 'Well, it should be because he is inherenting memories. I'll ask him more when he wakes up.'
He then closed his eyes and removed himself from Naruto's soul.
"Nosy kid." Kurama said before closing his eyes.
-Real World-
Izuna opened his eyes as he began to contemplate his next move.
"To the Hokage office it is."
He then started to make his way to the Hokage office with Naruto on his back. He went up to the receptionist and asked,"Excuse me, do you know even I can meet with the Hokage?"
"It might take a while as he is in a meeting right now."
"Thank you, ma'am." Izuna responded while having a thankful smile. The receptionist just nodded and continued her work.
He then placed Naruto down before waiting, and about 15 minutes later, Naruto woke up.
"That's weird." Naruto muttered to himself.
"What is?" Izuna asked Naruto. Which caused the blond to hug him and almost started to cry.
After Naruto calmed down. He started to tell Izuna that he dreamed that he lived a life without him. But Izuna interrupted him mid-way, "We'll talk about that later."
A few seconds after saying that, three people stepped out of the office. Two men and one female.
The lead man had black shaggy hair with bandages covering his right eye and a scar on his chin. He wore a white shirt and had a black robe covering his right shoulder and arm, going all the way down, covering his feet.
He just glanced at the twins momentarily before walking off with the other two following.
"Let's go." Izuna said while storing that man's face in the back of his mind. As the Kyuubi jinchuriki, he had the ability to sense people's negative emotions. And when that man looked at him, he felt nothing but greed.
They then got up and went into the office. At the desk, there was an old man with white hair and wrinkles all over his face with a small goatee. He was wearing a red kimono with a white scarf and haori on. He was the current Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Hiruzen looked at the two boys before asking with a small smile, "What's wrong, Naruto and Izuna?"
"Nothing much, just been kicked out of the orphanage, so there is that." Izuna said casually as if it wasn't him being kicked out.
This greatly surprised the third Hokage. "Don't worry, I'll find somewhere for you guys to settle down."
"So, do you have any idea who is going to take care of us." Hiruzen did some thinking before saying, "I don't think anyone would be able to take of you guys."
"Then why don't you send us to our parents' place then." Izuna asked with a smile.
Hiruzen's emotions fluctuated, but his face didn't. "I would love but their house was repossessed."
"So, you're saying that the Fourth Hokage didn't have anything left for his children?"
This thoroughly shocked the third, although he didn't show it on his face. His mind was going practically a thousand thoughts a second trying to find an excuse to deny it.
