The Life Empire was far away from them, and it had been quiet for years. However, everyone was keeping a close eye on them, never letting their guard down for a moment. Yet, all attention was focused on Du You.
They had always been waiting to see if Du You would advance, completely unaware of the prior military buildup. Perhaps someone noticed, but passing the information back wasn't easy. As a result, by the time Du You appeared near the battlefield, they hadn't noticed anything. Only after the space portal had opened and the army had passed through did they realize they were being attacked.
