"Have those people agreed?" Du You asked his doppelganger. Now, many of these doppelgangers are his subordinates, considered the empire's ministers in the eyes of others.
Due to the independence of thought, Du You didn't want to integrate a large amount of thinking into his own mind, so he usually communicated with doppelgangers verbally. Direct thought communication was easy, but having too many doppelgangers would be troublesome.
"Initially, they didn't agree because it would cause them to lose power."
"And now?" Du You asked, unsurprised. For most humans, power is very important. Once they have tasted the flavor of power, most people cannot give it up.
"We decided to grant them noble status and allow them to continue managing their cities, and then they agreed."
A hint of a smile flashed in Du You's eyes. These guys clearly have no understanding of his system. Once they join, if they don't do well, he has plenty of ways to pull them down and replace them with his people.
