(Thanks to Chen Si, Chang Lu Man Man Shi Qu, zyj13, and 'Can't Wake Up' for their monthly ticket encouragement.)
We passed the night peacefully, with the majority of patients still requiring wound debridement and treatment for alcohol intoxication. For our emergency center, this has become the norm.
Instead of joining the ward rounds, Liu Banxia joined Zhou Li and the other nurses, hopping from room to room to put up window decorations.
Even for those who are sick and hospitalized, some New Year's atmosphere is needed.
Being ill is enough of a heartache, and now they couldn't go home for the New Year. The lack of any New Year's atmosphere would be quite disheartening.
A special little group formed here too.
At first, it was the nurses putting up the decorations. Then, the patients' family members also actively joined in.
Further decorations included Chinese knots hung in the hallway, accompanied by large and small red lanterns.
