"Go on then." Amelia Clarke gave Mason Carter a gentle push towards the main building.
Watching him bounce around like a child, Amelia was thankful she was his sister. She couldn't imagine how Mason would fare with someone else as family.
"Let's go in as well." Owen Moreland's voice sounded above her head. As she turned, Owen was holding two of their children, with another in the arms of a servant. Amelia wanted to hold one herself, but Owen subtly blocked her.
"Let's go," he said.
Amelia looked at Arthur, who clearly wanted her to hold him, and she said with some affection, "They're not even fifteen months old, they're not heavy, let me hold one."
Owen sincerely weighed them in his arms and said seriously, "Pretty heavy. You're not in a condition to carry kids right now."
Amelia thought Owen was being overly protective.
Just holding a child, how tiring could it be? Besides, she was in good health, why wouldn't she be suitable to hold them?
