After Mia Moreland walked away, Lynette Moreland looked at Ann Chapman, a slow smile pulling at the corners of her mouth, "Enjoy talking with Mia?"
Ann Chapman didn't respond to her and turned to leave, clearly showing she didn't want to converse more.
Lynette's expression darkened, a hurt emotion surfacing in her eyes as she took two steps forward to block his path, lowering her voice, both proud and maliciously saying, "As long as I disagree, my dad and mom, as well as my grandparents, will never let Mia be with you."
"Even if you like her, so what? Does Mia like you? I asked her, she only sees you as a brother."
Ann's long eyes narrowed slightly, a cold smile on his face, "What happens between her and me is not your concern."
With that, he turned and left mercilessly.
Lynette watched his figure disappear at the door of the lounge, her face showing defeat and pain. But soon, she composed herself, though with a slight daze.
