Amelia Clarke was awakened by a call from Viola Harris.
"Amelia, I just saw on the newspaper that your Boss Moreland ran someone over and killed them. Is it true?"
Amelia was still a bit groggy, but this sobered her up immediately, "Newspaper?"
"That's not the point. The point is, did it happen?" Viola was a bit skeptical, "The newspaper also said that the victim's family refused to settle privately, claimed your Boss Moreland is abusing his power. They're saying all sorts of things about demanding a life for a life. These people sure are bold, even daring to say things like life for a life..."
Viola droned on in the phone, while Amelia paid no mind to what she was saying, jumping out of bed, putting on her shoes, and running downstairs.
She searched around but couldn't find today's newspaper.
"Ma'am, what are you looking for?" Dorothy Brown saw Amelia rummaging through things and came over to ask.
