"Hmm, you get some sleep first."
Amelia Clarke closed the door and went out. In the living room were only Leon Carter, Mason Carter, and three little ones. The others were probably still asleep. The servants, knowing something had happened at home, silently went about their tasks, the atmosphere unusually oppressive.
She took out the red envelopes she had prepared earlier from the cabinet, clapped her hands twice, and said, "Everyone, although something has happened at home, let's still have a happy New Year. Butler, these are for everyone; please distribute them; everyone gets one."
"Thank you, ma'am," the servants thanked her happily, and the atmosphere lightened a bit.
"Cousin-in-law, is there one for me?" Leon Carter looked up from his iPad and asked.
Amelia Clarke, wearing a loose-fitting long white sweater, smiled and said, "Didn't I give it to you last night?"
Leon blushed slightly when she looked at him, "I was just asking."
