"Old Madam!" Lita Kingsley gasped in surprise, quickly grabbing the heart medication bottle from the small cabinet, shaking out a few pills, and offering them with a glass of water from the round tea table. Emily Collins took the pills with her help.
"Feeling any better?" Lita Kingsley helped Emily Collins sit on the edge of the bed.
Emily Collins's hands trembled uncontrollably.
Once the discomfort in her body subsided a bit, a layer of sweat had soaked through the back of her clothes.
"Sleep now." The elderly woman's voice was faint.
"Old Madam, you should really go to the hospital—" Lita Kingsley began, but Emily Collins interrupted her, "I'll be fine."
"But…" Lita Kingsley helped her lie down, wanting to continue persuading her.
"Don't tell Amelia; I don't want her to feel sad." Emily Collins closed her eyes, "In the little time left, I just want to see her happy."
