2 PM on the 24th.
The ringing of the video call shattered the silence of South Hill Villa No. 8.
Dorothy Brown answered it, and shortly after, the door to the master bedroom was knocked on. Amelia Clarke awoke groggily and called out, "Come in."
"Ma'am, Benjamin Griffin is outside the villa complex. He wants to see Old Madam Collins, what do you think..."
Amelia Clarke didn't hesitate and said, "Go down and ask Grandma's opinion."
Old Madam Collins must have agreed to meet Benjamin Griffin, as Amelia Clarke, half-asleep, heard a man's voice in the front courtyard.
Gradually becoming more awake, Amelia Clarke lay with her eyes open for a while, then got out of bed, went to the nursery to check, and saw the little ones asleep, their tiny hands raised in a surrender pose.
She kissed the little ones on their cheeks, and the phone on the master bedroom's coffee table rang.
It was a call from Viola Harris.
"Amelia, how did so much happen while I was away?"
