Upon returning home, it was already nearly four o'clock. Amelia Clarke had quietly informed Chef Clark about tonight's menu yesterday, and Chef Clark was preparing dinner. Amelia went to the kitchen for a look and then took pruning shears to the Front Courtyard to trim roses.
"Ma'am, are you picking flowers? Let me do it," Aunt Chester offered to help.
Amelia Clarke smiled and declined, "No need, I'll do it myself. Did you buy everything I asked for the other day? Please take them to the dining room."
