Thomas said, "The pharmaceutical research department of the Smith Group is still over in New Horse. How about after the baby stabilizes, I tell our older brother that I'll return over there? They are living in the country now, so the house in New Horse will be just for us, and mom and dad won't see us and won't target us."
Thomas had it all thought out, "Then I'll talk to him about increasing my annual salary a bit more. Big brother treats me fairly well, and if I just want my salary to be increased, he will certainly agree to it."
Olivia Smith listened to Thomas's honest yet foolish suggestion, rolling her eyes internally with frustration.
But on the surface, she had to keep her composure and negotiate with him:
