She walked too slowly; Adam Jones was worried that the longer it took, the more the medication would affect her body. He hesitated for a moment, then decided to scoop her up directly and hurried towards the parking lot of the restaurant.
Johnson Fefferman's face was buried in his chest, her hair a bit messy, with stray strands clinging to her forehead with cold sweat.
She started to groan in discomfort, her body involuntarily writhing in Adam Jones's arms.
Adam furrowed his brows slightly, glanced down at her, and said, "Hang on a little longer; I'll take you to the hospital."
Johnson nodded gently in his arms.
Adam moved swiftly, reaching the parking lot and placing her in the back seat before quickly getting into the driver's seat to drive off.
On the way to the hospital, Elly Campbell called him.
"Elly, I'm going to be late. Johnson's in some trouble; I'm taking her to the hospital first... Okay, come over then. It's at the First Hospital. Call me when you arrive."
