James Xavier walked through the door and saw her coming out of the restroom with a towel in hand, having just freshened up. Water droplets clung to the sides of her hair.
Her face, which had previously shown signs of fatigue, now looked much more lively; it had a youthful glow and vigor.
"Captain?" Memoria Campbell glanced at the food in his hand. "Is this for me?"
"Oh... right. After traveling all night, you must be hungry. Have something to eat."
"Thank you."
Actually, Memoria wasn't hungry at all.
On the car ride, Little Evil prepared all sorts of snacks and drinks, so she hadn't stopped munching the whole way, and her little belly was still quite full.
However, she couldn't reveal the presence of Little Evil because it was a secret, so she accepted his goodwill.
James placed the tray on the coffee table. "Orders have come down from above; we must return to Bitterford as soon as possible. You'll have to catch up on sleep on the plane."
