Olivia Parker propped herself up to get up, but Kasper Edith's large hand pressed gently on her back, his voice soothing like calming a child.
"Don't move, it'll be fine soon, take off your coat to sleep more comfortably."
Olivia raised an eyebrow and closed her eyes again.
It was more awkward to be awake now, so she simply pretended to sleep.
Pulling down her right sleeve and removing the coat, Kasper carefully laid her flat on the pillow, dragging a thin quilt over her.
He stood up and spread the coat out on the small sofa, then tiptoed back to the bedside.
Olivia turned over, leaving him her back.
Mr. Edith, the person has been delivered; it's time for you to leave!
Kasper stood up straight, went over to adjust the curtains, then returned to her bedside, his gaze falling on her face, as he reached out a hand to support the bed and bent over her.
Just knew he wasn't a gentleman!
Olivia sneered inwardly.
