Changing into slippers, she stepped into the kitchen with him, only to see Kasper Edith putting on gloves and taking the soup pot off the induction cooker.
The kitchen had a faint scent.
It felt very much like when she lived with her parents back in Bitterford, the feeling of coming home, her dad smiling and asking her to wash her hands, while the kitchen smelled of home-cooked meals.
"Excuse me."
Upon hearing Kasper Edith's voice, Olivia Parker snapped back to reality, hurrying to clear the way as he walked past her, carrying the soup pot to the small restaurant.
He soon returned, taking warm dishes from the pot.
"Help me grab two sets of cutlery."
Kasper Edith's voice came out, without any hint of politeness, his demeanor and tone making her feel like a guest.
Olivia Parker gently shook her head, washed her hands, and grabbed bowls and cutlery.
He stretched out his large hand to take them, serving her a bowl of soup.
"Have some soup first, then eat."
