Memoria Campbell sat back in her seat and picked up her phone to dial Cold Xiaoxie's number.
The phone rang three times, but no one answered.
She glanced at the time on her wrist and was about to hang up when Cold Xiaoxie's voice came from the other end.
"Off work so early today?"
Memoria's voice was tinged with a smile, "No, not off work yet."
"What's making you so happy?" Cold Xiaoxie sensed her mood and asked with a smile.
Memoria originally wanted to tell him, thought about it, and then held back, "There's nothing special, just wanted to give you a call."
Anyway, she would be back in a few days; instead of telling him now, she might as well give him a big surprise, just like when he came to see her a few days ago.
"Hold on a moment." From the other end, the faint sound of a door opening and closing was heard, and shortly after, his voice resumed, "Miss me?"
"Nope."
"If not, why call? Should I hang up?"
"Go ahead, hang up then. Bye."
