She simply asked if Ice would like to join her for a trip.
Ice agreed almost without hesitation.
No other reason, Daisy had considered quite a few people, and after much thought, she concluded that Ice was the most suitable, so she contacted him.
After all, she thought, perhaps Ice also needed a break.
And now that Flossie Wright was completely safe, she and Ice could leave without worry.
But making a spur-of-the-moment decision, they hadn't thought to plan a route in advance.
"You decide," Ice said calmly.
Daisy frowned as she contemplated.
"She always wanted to go to Antarctica..." Daisy said, pausing slightly, then raised an eyebrow at Ice, "Are you going?"
"Okay."
Ice replied in a steady tone.
Daisy continued driving.
As they passed through the town, Daisy's cool yet penetrating voice suddenly came through, "Do you like her?"
Ice's eyebrows moved slightly.
The wind was too strong, whistling past, drowning out the voices at their ears.
