"Flossie, when did you get back?"
As soon as Iris Dukes saw Flossie Wright coming over, her eyes sparkled like stars, looking at her brightly.

"Is Captain Hutchinson with you?" Iris's eyes darted as she continued to ask.
"No."
Flossie shrugged.
Glenn Hutchinson was locked in the room by her to rest, and before heading out, she handed the key to Joshua Bailey, instructing him to deliver the meals to Glenn Hutchinson's room.
If there truly was something that needed dealing with, Glenn Hutchinson could leave the room in dozens of ways, but if there weren't any urgent matters, a single lock was enough to keep him in.
In any case, Flossie wasn't worried.
"Oh oh." Iris replied twice without further questions, but instead changed the topic, "Flossie, when did you come to West Hare, are you used to the food here…"
In just a couple of sentences, Iris shifted the discussion to food and began talking non-stop.
