After thinking it over, Flossie Wright ultimately grabbed the scissors and cut the thread, but as she focused on pulling it out, she suddenly asked, "Where's your girlfriend?"
"What?"
While enduring the pain, Glenn Hutchinson still had the mind to ask her.
With a swift motion, Flossie pulled out the torn thread. Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, she felt Glenn's somewhat intense gaze.
She paused and then snapped back to reality.
"The Military Doctor who likes you," Flossie explained.
"She's not my girlfriend," Glenn emphasized with a stern face.
"Fine, she's not," Flossie replied, following his words.
Calling her a "girlfriend" was just because she forgot the woman's name, though she almost forgot she had seen many "girlfriends" of Glenn's before.
"Her name is—" Flossie dragged out the words.
"Ann Cavanaugh."
Glenn replied with a straight face.
Flossie shrugged helplessly, "I'm not professional enough, let's call her in."
