Owen Lewis showed little emotion as he listened to Annie Davidson's words. That was simply how he always was.
"Uncle?"
Nia Mitchell looked perplexedly at Maxwell Peary, who had already come to her side. His face was very pale. Could something have happened?
"Uncle, what's wrong?"
Turning to Nia Mitchell's confused face, Maxwell Peary tried to muster his spirits. "Nothing. I'll take you home first."
Maxwell Peary didn't want Nia Mitchell to know about this; he could go to the hospital alone.
"What happened?"
Hearing Maxwell Peary's words, Nia Mitchell tensed, her eyes instantly widening. "Did something happen at the hospital?"
Nia Mitchell looked worried. Her father had called just moments ago. At this thought, she reached for her phone to call her father again.
"It's alright, nothing happened at the hospital." Maxwell Peary stopped her, his expression grave. "Don't worry, it's just a small matter. Go back to the villa and stay put. I'll handle the rest."
