"Frendy!"
It was the character Grandpa despised most in his life; heaven knows how much he adored Denver Wright and the Serpent Spirit.
On hearing the name Frendy, Grandpa finally blew a fuse!
"What did you just say? You cheeky girl, how dare you call me Frendy! You're the Frendy!"
Grandpa shouted hysterically at the closed door of the Solitary Room.
"You are Frendy! Look at what you're doing—isn't that exactly what Frendy would do?"
Having finally gotten some attention, Annie Davidson's face filled with hope.
"You're not the Serpent Spirit, and I haven't captured you. You're the Frendy!"
Grandpa, fuming, kicked the Solitary Room's door. That cheeky girl, daring to call him, a kind-hearted old man, Frendy!
Annie Davidson's lips twitched. A Serpent Spirit? Heh.
"You locked me up. How is that different from capturing me?"
Frendy wanted to capture the Serpent Spirit and separate her from Denver Wright. Grandpa had locked her up and was trying to separate her from Owen Lewis.
