Fiona Sutton froze, stopping her struggle. The thing she couldn't accept the most right now was probably Charles Northwood's words.
What friends? She never cared for them.
"We're not."
Not only were they not, but if possible, she would rather they never had been.
"Yes, we are!"
Charles Northwood had no idea what Fiona Sutton was thinking. He really wanted to open up her mind and see what it was made of.
"Is this all you're having for lunch?"
Fiona Sutton was always on a tight budget. Charles Northwood frowned at the noodles in her hand.
"I'll eat whatever the hell I want! What's it to you?"
Fiona Sutton raised her voice, angrily shaking off his hand.
Suddenly, Charles Northwood froze, remaining silent, his gaze locked onto her.
"What are you staring at?"
Fiona Sutton paused, suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
"Fiona, do you have a boyfriend?"
