Rabina Mitchell, seemingly oblivious, was still engrossed in speaking on the phone with Fiona Sutton.
"Never mind, I don't want to be a journalist who chases gossip all day," Fiona Sutton said.
Fiona Sutton sighed. Her aspirations didn't lie in that direction.
"That's not necessarily true. Star Media has many positions. I can ask for you when the time comes," Nia Mitchell said, trying to comfort her.
"Alright, thanks in advance!" Fiona Sutton became happier. If Star Media refused to hire her, working at a smaller company was her only other option.
"No need to thank me. I'll hang up now and inquire tomorrow during the day," Nia Mitchell said.
"Alright. Bye."
After hanging up, Nia Mitchell put her phone away. When she turned around, she saw Maxwell Peary with a dark expression on his face.
Um… Why does the atmosphere feel a bit off?
"Uncle?" Nia Mitchell asked quietly. She had just made a phone call; how could it seem like the whole world had turned upside down?
