Yancy Hastings clicked his tongue. Angrily grabbing a large stack of bills, he got out of the car and forcefully slapped the money onto Fiona Sutton's chest.
"Here, take it. If it's not enough, I'll burn more for you later."
If he didn't have something to attend to, he wouldn't let such a person as her have it so easy.
Isn't she looking for a job?
"Fiona Sutton, let me warn you. If you can find a job in Capital Town, I'll write my name, Yancy Hastings, backward."
"You still owe me an apology."
Fiona held the money, her face devoid of any trace of a smile, her eyes cold.
She understood that Yancy was trampling on her dignity, but her lack of money was a fact.
"Apologize?"
Yancy Hastings didn't appreciate this. This woman was clearly stepping out of line.
"Are you suggesting that you swindled money from me, and I should apologize to you?"
This was the most ridiculous thing he'd heard in his twenty-something years.
