He was still worried.
"In a few days, I'll talk to Adele. If she's willing, I'll let her return to the company with me. If she isn't, I won't force her. Let her have some quiet time for now. The blows of the past two days have been too much for her."
Glades Horne nodded.
"Do you want to go out for a walk?" Julia Bluen then asked, her face tilted up, her voice gentle. "You've been feeling pressured too. Let's go out for a walk, just to clear our minds."
"Okay," Glades Horne replied indulgently.
The two got up from the sofa, but he asked Julia to wait for him downstairs while he went upstairs to get something.
Julia didn't know what he was going to fetch and waited where she was.
A moment later, he came down from upstairs holding a beige coat with a soft, furry collar and a scarf.
