Two bodyguards immediately followed him.
Watching his robust and trim figure disappear from sight, Edo Hanley muttered, "He always inspires such a mix of love and frustration."
"It's not like this is the first time you've met him," Helen Griffin said. Having finished her meal, she picked up a napkin from the table, pulled out two sheets to wipe her mouth, then stood up and smiled at Edo Hanley. "I'm leaving. Enjoy your meal on your own."
"Do you need me to take you?" Edo Hanley asked, also standing up and offering kindly.
Waving goodbye, Helen Griffin shot back, "No need. Don't keep your sweetheart waiting."
"With everyone leaving, I've no desire to stay behind," Edo Hanley said, quickly stepping forward to follow Helen Griffin. After hearing her comment, he couldn't resist asking, "Tomboy, did you grow eyes in the back of your head? How did you know I brought my sweetheart?"
"Just a guess," Helen Griffin chuckled, and then stepped into the elevator.
