Chapter 1801 - Chapter 1337: Sled

Others produce ships every day, and they design the dimensions and shapes of wooden components very cleverly.

As a layman, he can only use the most clumsy methods.

Ma Lin thinks that the structure of a conical wooden box is even harder than an arcuate shape; therefore, he does not recommend making it this way.

His idea is to first saw out three rectangular blocks of wood. They are relatively standard, and their sides can be joined without gaps.

Then, he would process them to create curves.

These curves must be able to connect at the edge sides.

First, make the curves relatively thick to facilitate further grinding later.

He thinks this method is feasible.

Then he thinks of another method.

Make the bow of the boat not so sharp, simply with a pair of upward slopes.

The bow panel and sides would be connected using mortise and tenon joints.

They are all flat, with no curves.

It's like an angled wooden box.

The only difficulty is that the mortises must be cut at an angle.
